Haven't really cared for enchantments, but now I'm starting to raise it. I'm like 40-45 enchanting. I really wanted some kind of fire/ice destruction on a two-handed weapon, in my case a longsword.

For weapons, you cant go wrong with absorb health. Soultrap is nice as a secondary enchantment if you dual wield or have the Extra Effect perk (lvl 100 enchanting) so you can continuously refill your weapons. If you use a lot of power attacks, stamina absorption will ensure you can perpetually perform power attacks as long as your weapon has a charge.

Thanks... ya, I have to raise enchanting, are there any guides on it?

If you want to power level enchanting, all you need to do is disenchant a few items so that you can enchant any type of item (weapon/armor). From there it's a step by step process:

1. I reccomend combining power leveling of enchanting with power leveling of smithing (another amazingly useful skill) by purchasing iron ingots and leather/leather strips then smithing iron daggers and hide vambraces
2. Enchant the daggers and vambraces at an altar (I prefer the one in riverwood inn). Absorb health is the best enchantment to put on iron daggers.
3. To obtain more soul gems, sell your enchanted daggers to general merchants and buy all of their soul gems.
4. Repeat the process by smithing at various towns and purchasing their stock of iron ore/leather and buying all of their general merchant's soul gems.
5. Keep repeating the process.
Note: It will take a fair bit of gold to start this process. You run the risk of gimping yourself if you level up smithing and enchanting while neglecting combat skills. Some people dislike this method because it generates massive amounts of gold making anything and everything affordable to the player.

So yeah here's a mini guide. If you have any questions i'd be happy to answer them!

Ok, I appreciate that. I already have smithing at 100, tho.
So, I just wanna try to sum this up in a nut shell.

1. Smith daggers and armbraces
2. Enchant all daggers/armbraces
3. Sell daggers for soul gems

Is this correct?

And is it possible to do this all in the same city? Like an alter and a smith? I like to use Whiterun for smithing, is there an alter in Whiterun?

Thanks for the help!

You've got it.

If you find one in Whiterun you should definitely use it; that's my favorite town too haha. I just knew there was one in Riverwood and wouldn't be bothered to search for one in Whiterun. I'm not sure if the stores regenerate the necessary stock if you stay in the same town and wait, I haven't tested for that.

Ok, ya... with the loading screens, I just think it might be quicker to wait 48 hours for the stock to replenish. Alright, thanks for the help! Rep!

Additionally, using grand soul gems (filled with grand souls, of course), you can enchant 4 items (head, chest, ring, & amulet) with "Destruction cost 25% less," thus making destruction spells free. The beauty is that this applies to enchanted weapons. A sword with Fire/Frost damage or absorb Health/Stamina will not lose its charge if used while wearing the above enchanted armor.

Enchantments such as these, applied to some legendary dragonscale (or plate, in your case) and some nice weapons, ensure a good time plowing through anyone that dares enter your sight.

Happy enchanting/slaughtering :)

How do I get a grand sole filled with grand sole, not sure if I have one? And any specific level you have to be?

Ok, so once you capture the soul, will it go to a random gem? I understand how you capture it, then what?

No specific level, just make sure you kill a monster with a grand soul and you have a grand soul gem to fill! Azura's star is a choice soul gem as it never breaks and can be refilled infinitely. All human souls are considered grand, as well as giants, mammoths, dragons, and draugr deathlords I believe. If you don't have azura's star you need a black soul gem to capture human/NPC souls.

Make it to the shrine of Azura and the rest should take care of itself ^_^ directly south of Winterhold

Is Absorb Health better than Banish? I'm able to sell my Banish iron daggers for 1.5Kish without any price enhancing clothing. I believe I've only got one perk in speechcraft to increase my prices, also.

I know Absorb Health + Banish is fantastic for money making, but I didn't pick up Absorb Health until after I was 100 enchanting and I can't say I know which is better. Just curious : )
