I believe it is a remake as Nintendo did announce it as a remake. WIll post a pic of it soon

Yeah, just saw it confirmed on Serebii. I'm so excited for this, to be honest I wasn't even as excited for Pokemon XY - like it was really great, but Hoenn is probably my favorite region and all, can't wait to see it in 3D. It came out when I was like 9 too, so I think out of all the Pokemon games I've sunk the most time into Sapphire.

I believe Nintendo has released some gameplay footage. I didn't see it yet but I did see Groudon in 3D

If they release a Delta Emerald a few months later, I'm going to have to strangle someone.
Doubt they will though, since they did not remake Crystal with Gold and Silver.
