Linwe is not a weakling so you should be able to beat on him a bit before healing him. If you need to recharge mana, just back away far enough and hit "Wait" for 1 hour.....rinse and repeat lol.
also, he shoots unlimited Elven arrows that you can pickup
I'm not gonna lie, I laughed out loud when I realized you force pushed him back (I know this isn't star wars, but I feel like a Jedi when I use that shout haha), just to go pull the lever and lock him in that cell. Sneaky devil, what a trick!
