I will not tolerate failure...
Yeah, they are money grubbing. I mean; look at what they've done to lore. Thanks to TESO a big chunk of lore is inaccurate now. They have changed entire parts of history and made something commercial out of what used to be a very deep and cleaver story.

I've heard they also use Elder Scrolls, the most powerful objects ingame, in a capture-the-flag mode. That's just denigrating their own franchise.
you say a big chuck of lore is inaccurate now how about instead just pretend its an alternative universe that never happened or pretend the soulburst is really just one of Vivecs crazy dreams or something that would explain why it is never mentioned in lore

We can't, because Bethesda is going to adapt the lore in the 'other' games to TESO. Of course they can't change the ingame books, but all the upcoming games are going to be adapted to TESO lore.

They said they can justify the fee with the DLC they are planning to release. I bet they can. But they just do not see the issue here: It doesn't matter whether the DLC is worth the coin or not. If it's too expensive, it is too expensive.

Why don't they do the same as World Of Warcraft? Or why don't they put DLC or new content behind a paywall? That way I at least have the option to pay for the content. I can imagine I am not exactly interested in EVERYTHING Bethesda brings out.

They can defend it all they want. But I am not going to buy it. I simply don't have the money, and I am afraid this is the same for many other people. Such a shame, because I am sure they are going lose a lot of potential customers over this. I hope they know what they're doing.

Unfortunately Anouck, Zenimax Online dropped the ball....

For those of you MMO veterens, this is worse than Biowares issues with the Star Wars title with SWTOR.

Zenimax Online took a beloved IP such as The Elder Scrolls, and they just couldn't do what they set out to do...

As an Elder Scrolls title, like always; the storylines are superb, the soundtrack is amazing; and the combat mechanic is really amazing.

As far as the rest of the game.

Constant crashes, lack of content, lackluster "ranking" system which can be exploited to reach quicker.

Not to mention it seems everyday they have to do "maintenance".

The Megaserver is an awesome idea, but they failed to really make it count, they obviously can't do it.

I feel duped into the game, as some others are to; I was drawn in with the idea of Morrowind/Skyrim/Oblivion but online with friends.
Unfortunately what I got was play alone but in a group with a friend, while the phasing ruins the entire immersion factor.

Not to mention barely anyone talks to one another, because they'res no reason to anyhow, you don't need any real help in this game.

As someone who hit level 50 in the Early Access, and achieved rank 10 Veteran; I can say for damn certain, the console servers will be shut off in a year if nothing changes.

And as for the PC version, I see it either going F2P in 3 years, or just shutting down completely; if nothing changes.

Sorry for wall o'text, but I'm pissed off to no end about this game....

I saw this coming and refuse to pay any money for it. Thanks for your honest review.

Just look how disrespectful they were when they canceled further development on Skyrim, and leaving so many plot holes.

I swear the next Elders Scrolls game better be good or else I'm divorcing Bethesda and leaving them for another gaming company (Bioware).

Now that you've reminded me of that I'm pissed off again

Beth, I'm leaving you and I'm not coming back!

(If the next ES game doesn't top Oblivion + All DLC)

I didn't have overly expectations for it but I'll probably play it if the monthly fee drops/it becomes F2P

I'll just play D&D or Neverwinter, if I ever get around to 'MMO mood' ever again.

It's a legitimate complaint. When I play a RPing game I expect to have a very good solid story to follow to. When I have companions (Followers) I want to be able to talk to them and to get to know them up close on a personal level, especially when I ask them to marry me. In Skyrim you don't get that. Look at Lydia and other housecarls that were given to you. What is their back story? How did they become housecarls? No information.

If I was an experience fanfiction writer I would love Skyrim, but I'm not.

I still consider it one of them greats but with just a few extra hours of recording dialogue it could have been truly unforgettable in terms of development & character progression.

Heck, even something like Boone in FONV

I still hold the same opinion I did through the betas I was on, and that is I wish they had created more of a co-op type of RPG, similar to how you can get on with a group of friends and play the Diablo series, rather than just another MMO.

As it is, I'd rather have TESVI instead of TESO
