Hey guys! I've been wanting to do a roleplay recently, and I was wondering What you guys favorite roleplay was and if you could give ideas/advice? Thanks in advance!

Depends what sort of RP you mean :)

Being the RP Mod, I'm participating in a few written roleplays which are something that I'd never tried before I played Skyrim and discovered this community.

In terms of in-game, I like to RP a rogue, warriors, mages, or anything with a decent backstory and set of motives.

Welcome!

You might enjoy roleplaying a forsworn. All you really have to do is the Markarth jail quest, and live in one of their camps in the reach, but you can build an army of followers if you'd like, and dress them all up in forsworn armour.

My advice is to look to Elder Scrolls Lore. Tamriel is full of history and interesting people who could easily influence a RP. Play as a Shadowscale, an Ali'kir warrior, Ashlander, Berzerker, scholar, wizard, pirate, beggar, zealot, Golden Saint/Dark Seducer, vampire elder, hunter, treasure hunter, peasant turned knight, skooma addict, drug dealer, apothecary, blacksmith, etc..

Or pick a back story such as avenging a fallen friend/family member, recovering a lost artifact or heirloom, solve a mystery.

Have a personal goal and stick with it :)

It's a big hammer.
I think the most common RP is a character that wages a war against the Thalmor/Empire/Stormcloaks. I think it somewhat depends on what race you're playing, but that's always a great route to go. Be an Imperial who has left their homeland of Cyrodiil to join the Legion in Skyrim. Or a Nord that has journeyed back to their homeland to fight for the Stormcloaks. Or a Redguard that has an axe to grind against the Thalmor.

It all depends with your level of comfort with the game to determine how in-depth the RP should be. I personally like the idea of an Orc who has been banished from their Stronghold in Cyrodiil and trying to make a new life in Skyrim. It involves traveling to the different Strongholds and kind of making a name for yourself and eventually picking one as a home or something. The Orc character I did was determined to make her own Stronghold somewhere in Skyrim, but insisted on making a reputation for herself not only with the Strongholds in Skyrim, but also the Jarls and people and what have you. The goal being to get enough reknown to create a Stronghold that fellow female Orcs wanted to live in. This is lore-based because traditionally Strongholds and Orcs in general are very patriarchal.

Yeah, man, go play an Orc. You'll love it.
