How do you backstab a Dragon?
Sure, but I thought he was one of those unkillable people. Besides, then I have to kill his wife too and loot everything I could get my hands on. Sounds like too much work.

His wife must sleep at the farm then 'cause she doesn't sleep there. Makes sense since she obviously can't stand him, what with smelling like Jarl butt and all, I can't blame her.

I've seen her sleep at the Huntsman. Her hours are different though

I guess the thing is it's not in town, and if they lived there it'd mean walking to town every day to participate with town life, and with Nazeem's important career as advisor to the Jarl (inserting sarcasm here). At the Drunken Huntsman they would have their beds made for them and their meals provided.
Also their farmhand lives in their house which didn't seem all that grand to me.
