Xbox 360 Odds of finding dragonbone/scale?

Does anyone know the odds of a shopkeeper carrying dragonbone/scale armor? I have not done dragon rising and have received 2 pair of dragonscale gloves so far and was wondering how rare it is to see any of the dragon pieces in shops.

I don't think I've ever seen pieces of dragon armor in shops, just random loot chests. Even then, it is very rare to find. That's one thing I kinda dislike about Skyrim: If you want to have decent odds of ever having a full set of Daedric/Dragon armor, you basically have to craft them yourself.

It has varied in different playthroughs. Sometimes I find a piece in random loot, or in a shops inventory. Other times, nothing until my level get's way up there.

One thing I never came across before was finding a "Bound Sword" book at level 2, which suited my redguard pirate mage perfectly. It's like the game knew...haha.

I don't remember ever seeing them for sale. In my current game I was amazed to find a dragon scale helmet with an archery enchantment very early. I don't remember exactly when, but I think it was around Level 15.

I found Dragonscale armor in a chest after defeating a Dragon Priest at level 30 (?). It's funny, because I invested heavily in light armor, and was able to enchant it for a health perk and use right away. They are never for sale, AFAIK.

Vendors don`t sell Dragon no matter how high your level in my experience.
My current character is at level 31 and the vendors don`t even sell Ebony except for arrows and ingots.
I do regular tours to easy-to-access Boss chests that I know will respawn.
No Daedric has ever been found and extremely rarely a Dragon piece will show up.
It`s an entirely random long shot but I`m guesstimating @ once in every 40 or 50 chances.

Top end loot is usually Glass or Ebony but I`ve discovered only an unenchanted Dragonplate cuirass, Dragonscale Armor of Eminent Conjuration , Dragonplate Armor of Invigoration, Dragonplate Gauntlets of Extreme Wielding , and Dragonscale Gauntlets of Peerless Alchemy out of well over 200 times I`ve popped such chests.

These odds may be improved a little if you have the Treasure Hunter perk from Lockpicking

A higher level character of mine gets slightly better results including Daedric but I don`t know what the level is that the chest list/odds change

So it doesn't shop up in shops correct? I get a ton of ebony and every so often I can find daedric but haven't ever seen any dragon gear (except in chests when I got the gauntlets.).

While I've never found Dragon with a vendor (unless, of course it's something I put in inventory myself by selling it to them) and only find Dragon in various chests/stashes, I find it easy once over lever 50 to find full sets of either scale or bone.

I do not usually find anything but Daedric arrows in the shops either (although, this run through I've found all kinds of armor and weapons in the chests/stashes). Of course the only place with Daedric arrows seems to be the fletcher in Solitude.

Found dragon scale gloves in Potema's tomb. It was resting atop a chest. I was level 55 at then. Normally, I would find iron guantlets in place at a lower level.

From what I've read you don't start seeing dragon armor or weapons until the mid-late 30s and even then the chances of getting them are very slim. You'll just have to level up a few times if you want the items without crafting.

Never come across any for sale, I found a set of Dragonbone armour as loot in a chest once, and once only, also boots, had to smith gauntlets myself.

I gave them to my follower together with Morekei's mask who later glitched out and the lot disappeared...

Never seen dragonscale armour anywhere in 1400 hours and 56 levels of playing.

Dragonbone and Dragonscale armor only start appearing as random loot around level 50, at least in my experience. And given how the other armor sets work, they probably won't appear in shops until at least level 60 or 70 if I had to guess. I've never really looked for them though as I usually just smith them myself.
