It sounds morbid, I know, but when you die how would you like to be remembered by the people that knew you? I guess this could also go for "forums death" (when you leave the forums how do you want people from the forums to remember you).

I get complimented on my looks. It's boring. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Sure, it's a bonus to have people that think you look good but it's not what I want to be remembered for.

I'll start:

I want to be remembered for being intelligent, funny (quirky) and quick-witted.

I want to be remembered for accepting people for who they are, and not closing my mind the second they say they are gay, or black, or Hindu.

I want to be remembered for fighting for the little guy, the poor, people who can't defend themselves and don't have a voice, and for animal rights. And not just saying that I fight for them, but actually having the balls to do it.

I want to be remembered for being a contrarian and for questioning everything I hear, and for being counter-culture. For not only avoiding the bandwagon, but for digging potholes in the road that will cause it to crash.

I also want to be remembered for being tough and for rallying when the chips are down. For not complaining too much about my personal life or getting butthurt about everything. Life's too short to be miserable.

Well, that's about all I can think of, and don't worry... just because I made this thread I'm not dying or anything. :p

I'll be remembered as the weirdo who stabbed everyone in sb, that's probably all I'm really known for

I'll be honest I couldn't give a plops what people think of me I never have and never will. You're right queen life is to short so why bother worrying what people think about you.

I'm honest always up for a laugh I'll get on with anyone I wouldn't say I was the life and sole of the party but a party with Brizzle is always much better. But it depends who you speak to really some people will think I'm the biggest wa#### the world has ever seen while others will say I'm the soundest I'm sure the truth is in the middle somewhere.

But I suppose deep down I wouldn't mind being remembered for someone that was easy to get on with, up for a laugh, doesn't take life seriously, passionate, would go the extra mile to help out friends and family (I don't mind being woken up in the middle of the night to go and pick someone up or help them out if something has gone wrong), caring, someone that listens, and someone that is full of surprises but it aint up to me to say it's down to my family and friends.

I just want to be remembered. Period. I can honestly say the thought of just fading away and not being remembered bothers me. Yet no matter what I do, the people I love will live on and my grave will be forgotten. Life buries the dead. I think of my grandparents and how I never knew anyone from their era, not one name. Not one life. All vanished by time. We're only remembered if we do something grand. Something worth remembering. Immortality is in our name and where it is place in history. I want to be remembered as a kind person, one who grabbed his goals by the throat and conquered them. Someone who was strong. Yet, for how long will I be remembered until I too am buried for good?

That's it! I'm going to start marking trees and walls like a first grader with, "Jason was here damn it!!!" :)

Bring me my broadsword, and clear understanding.
I think Brizzle summed it up nicely.

It would be nice if in a couple of hundred years there was a TV program like Antiques Roadshow where someone took a painting that had been handed down through their family and it was by a much under-rated late 20th/early 21st century watercolourist .... namely me.

I do have an agreement with a friend that whichever of us outlives the other will put a notification in the local newspaper announcing the death with 2 simple words "Game Over". We decided that about 20 years ago.

That's not all your known for ;)

hmmm I dont think about that stuff IRL, Im too young to die or even think about it! Accidents happen, but fingers crossed I'm here tomorrow... If not than people will probably remember my adventurous attitude, laid back nature and a willingness to try new things.

On the forums I like to think that I go out of my way to help people and to make everyone feel welcome. I'm courteous to everyone, give praise and encourage other people to express their views. I may not have the same amount of lore knowledge as DrunkenMage or the huge game experience of AdamWarlock, but I can definetly hold my own and share little known info with the best of 'em :p

IRL I guess I would like to be remembered for my kindness and creativity. Always nice and helpful and someone to trust and rely on. For never compromising her morals and her love for her family.

In forums I would like to be remembered for the RL stuff as well as my writing. Cause who I am on here is pretty much me IRL anyway. Except for my avatar. I'm sorry but I am NOT a cute widdle black kitteh with a butterfly on her head. :p

That's basically what I think too, it's not a nice thought to think you'll be forgotten. As long as people near me would always remember me, I'd be happy. Eventual children and grandchildren remembering me. Things like that. I haven't really gotten to know my grandparents, and yet they are still on my mind, atleast once in a while. The same with my uncle, he passed away 7 years before I was born. I never saw or met him, but he's a part of our family and we still talk about him. That's the kind of how I want to be remembered.

I would like to be remembered as a decent writer, someone knowledgeable of the Khajiiti, and a kind person.

I'll be remembered in whatever way people remember me as.

I could be an idol to some and a complete sleazebag to others. It relly depends on who is remembering me.

I can't say that I care if a bunch of people remember me after I'm gone. When I'm gone, I'm gone. However, I do hope that I will stay in a few persons brains for a while, only the ones that are close to me.

And as for how I want to be remembered. I want to be remembered for being me. Not anything else.

I haven't done much that is rememberable. The animals that I adopt most likely wont outlive me. even if they did... They cant tell anyone about it. Looking at their appreciative faces everyday makes it worth it.
