Xbox 360 I can't adopt!

Okay, so I have completed the quest to kill Grelod and I'm well past that. I recently killed Lemkil (Sissel and Britte's father) and they have moved to Honorhall. When I attempt to adopt one of the children, Constance says,

"I'm sorry, but until you own a home with a room for your children, I can't allow you to adopt anyone."

Seriously? I have Lakeview Manor. I have the West Wing Bedrooms, two single beds, and a chest for the kids. Is it a glitch with Constance? Or a glitch with my house? Because I have four other save files, and I've adopted Lucia and Sofie on three of them. It really is getting quite repetitive. Just for the sake of role playing, I'd like to adopt from Honorhall.

Any solutions?

Sounds like a glitch to me. Maybe you have to be married to be able to adopt children but I don't think that's true. I remember receiving the quest to adopt a child before being able to marry. But then again I didn't adopt a child until I got married. I know you said you'd like to adopt from Honorhall but maybe you can try adopting some of the kids that wonder around the streets of the cities and see if that works. If that doesn't work, maybe you can try to build another estate at Winstead Manor or Heljarchen Hall. You have to become the Thane of Morthal for Winstead Hall and the Thane of Dawnstar for Heljarcjen Hall to get those estates. Those are the only thing I can think of. Hopefully that helps!
