What does your username mean?

Just a thread where everyone can explain the origin and meaning of their usernames, since I'm curious and nosy!

Mine is a lyric from Ana's Song by Silverchair. They've been one of my favorite bands for the past thirteen years, and I've always loved the poetic sound of that particular lyric. It was impossible to get imaginepageant as a username anywhere back in the day because it was always already snatched up, but I've used it exclusively for about five years now. The only reason I'm not on Tumblr is because someone's already using imaginepageant, and it feels wrong to go by anything else.

Mine is one of my actual names

My family is a blend of various religions and cultures. I was baptized, named and otherwise welcomed to the world in a few different traditional ceremonies. In two such ceremonies, I was given an official name. I was named this after my great-grandmother.

Mine is DeviouS written backwards, I made it many years ago back in the 90's when I used to play Delta Force & DFX online. My friends used to call me Devious Dave so I took the Devious & spelt it backwards, hence SuoiveD.

In my old neighborhood they called me Redneck, but as it was in Crip territory they spelled it withot the C(ck= crip killa, big no-no).
Added capital letters to split it up for meanings. RedNeK
Red= Respect Every Death
Ne= Never Enough
K= Doesn't actually have a meaning just doesn't fit with the others

Dallas-Arbiter means Dallas Music and Arbiter electronics, Arbiter began making the Fuzz Face (a fairly primitive guitar effect pedal) in 1966, and Dallas Music distributed for them starting in about 1968. It's my favorite pedal, makes a nice and loud racket.

I actually made mine up several years ago when I was thinking of usernames, but when I did some research I found out that 'Tertius' actually means 'three' or third in Latin. It's also related to an ancient Greek god, though I cannot be sure.

Mine is a modification of the Greek word pronounced athanay. That word itself is a feminine word, so I dropped the 'ay' and added an 'os' to make it masculine. You will see me use 'athanos' in other places, but someone started using my name. Hence the change from an a to a 3 to mix it up a bit. The Greek word means immortal.

Also got the Class I use from Dark Lotus, just switched Dark with Black. Black Lotus is something I RPd with a few of my friends a while ago as a clan of warrior monzks defendingShang-Ri-La. Also why I say Cicero took my character of a sociopsychotic jester. Whoops. Rambling again haha. Now its time to go throw trees in a wood chipper for work. Yip.friggen.eee.

mine is actually Larkyn.. but sometimes larkie is what i use. Larkyn is the name i wanted to name my daughter but never thought i would have one since my husband family hasnt produce a girl in over 60 years. Larkyn Noelle actually is what i would have named my daughter. When the man and i actually DID get a girl baby in the belly it was too late since ive been using Larkyn for entirely too many years on too many different games : )

Tough to explain. You know the T.V. show on Discovery called, "The Deadliest Catch?" It's about these fishermen in Alaska who catch crabs. So one day, I caught crabs, but I'm not talking the aquatic life-form here, I'm talking about the itchy bastards. Yep.

Also, I usually tend to be an internet troll. The good kind, that makes people laugh... sheesh!

So I took "The Deadliest Catch" and made myself into "The Deadliest Troll"

when i use to play wow my char name was hawk. for some reason unknown a few people i use to play with/talk to on skype started to call me wakka instead of hawk ( yeah bit strange but it stuck. think they was dutch or something

) dont think they could comprehend the name hawk so called me that lol

The reason behind my username is simple, really (also kind of nerdy, I must admit!) I only use this username on this particular forums since my username has to do with Skyrim and this forum is about Skyrim so...

Anyways, if you've played Skyrim, you know about bards. You hear them singing songs, and most of the time it's going to be a song called Ragnar the Red. I don't think I have anything more to explain, but basically my username is named after the Ragnar the Red. If you pay closer attention, you'll see that my title is "The Red One" which is pretty self-explanatory.

I was either going to name myself this or "Matilda" like the shieldmaiden in the song. Ragnar simply sounded nerdier and cooler at the same time.

Jersey, while many think is in relation to where I live, is actually the name of one of my characters. Jersey Dagmar. 'The Jester' part is of course in relation to Cicero being a Jester. Pretty simple.

Mine is actually my first name

It's pronounced Car-rin, but my Dad likes to spell things a little odd for some reason or another. I'm not complaining though, I managed to get the username Karein on xbox live, and my artsite is karein . com. Not too bad if I do say so myself
