Their will be posts like this already but hey, it saves time finding them.
Which game do you prefer.
Morrowind was huge but 2001 graphics and engine are a bit poor,

Skyrim is a bit small but most up to date technology to run it,

Oblivion is kind of a half way point and in my opinion the best.

That's kinda my point, despite the tech which one would you rather play, story, exploration etc...

I thought hard about it between Morrowind and Oblivion but I since I played Oblivion first that got my vote

Yeah, I started with Morrowind, so I really noticed when they took some things out of the game to simplify it. Skyrim took that to another level as well. I worry the next TES game (if there is one) will be simplified even more.

There will be at least 10, 1 for each province and remake 1,2,3 (hopefully)

Last I heard, as Skyrim was about to be released, Bethesda was saying it would be the last in the series. Hard to believe that, though. They have a good thing going.

Never, Bethesda are full of money and fallout and TES are their income, without TES Bethesda are nothing

Is that all you got?!
I definantly think Morrowind is better than Oblivion, but there's still stuff in Oblivion that's better than Morrowind. However, in my opinion at least, Skyrim beats them all, it has the best of both.

Pretty tough to call, if I could see all three with up to date graphics and voice work it would be an easier decision. I for one loved Oblivion (except for the degrading weapons and armor)

Really? I loved that. I really miss degrading weapons and armor actually. It made things more interesting when you went on a long quest and didn't plan well and ended up with some useless pieces of armor or weapons.

I didn't mind it so much in Morrowind, but I didn't like it at all in Oblivion. It seemed like a weapon would only last long enough to kill one enemy, so you had to have a bunch of them, but that just added to the weight and didn't leave room for loot. Besides, it's rather unrealistic when you think about it. I can see armor wearing out in a tough battle, but a sword, especially a hammer or mace, should last for a while.

Tough choice but I will go with Morrowind because it had better quests and various weapons and armors... i still miss throwing knifes and stars.

Oblivion had epic beginning where Patrick Stewart borrows his voice (similar thing like he did in star trek), and epic scenery like in the middle of green forest sun shines on white ancient aylied ruins. Also it had better shortcuts and better journal than skyrim.

Actually, I see your point. I like that items degraded, but they did seem to degrade awfully quick in Oblivion. It would be nice if the degradation wasn't linear and was on more of a curve, so that at first they degraded slowly but over time they degrade more quickly.

Definitely. The journal in Skyrim is so stripped down it's barely useful. But I know why they did it. They are catering to the masses that just want to run through the game and get to the next hot game, so everything is fed into the stupid compass and you're led by the nose to each location.

They may be "catering to the masses" somewhat, but I think there's still a lot more put into these game than any other on the market. The devs are just as much fans as anyone else, they wouldn't sacrifice something just to sell their product, there's plenty of people that can't play Skyrim because the world's too open.

Yes, it seems the compass is carrying a lot of the game, however, you can turn off the hud by reducing its transparency to zero...it makes it so freakin' hard. ;)

damn nature you scary
i've played all 3 and have to say skyrim for me, Oblivion use to bug like a mofo when i had it, stopped me from getting all that far before i would have to restart  after playing skyrim for a bit i did really want to get Morrowind again, but the game shop near me is selling it for £20.... not paying that much for such a old game. just have to keep my eye out on ebay for a cheap copy :D

Haha, you should check the links in my signature. I've played the ENTIRE game so far with the HUD set to 0% .. and I love it!

I wasn't saying Skyrim was crap and just for the masses, FYI. It's just that if you played Morrowind it was awesome that the characters in the game would actually describe how to get to a location, and you had to pay attention so you could find the location. With the current system the character's say nothing about how to get somewhere and instead just drop the location on your map and bingo it's on your compass too, so you don't have to put much effort into finding the place. That's cool for those that want to play through the game more quickly, but for someone like me that likes to play it at a slower pace it's not as fun as going by a descriptive set of directions.

I agree, it was actually really hard to find places in Morrowind though. I remember circling around a location for an hour just trying to find it, and the whole time a dust storm has blocked all visibility. Not that it wouldn't be like that in real life, but more than once it actually caused me to turn the game off for a while, I got a little too mad at it. ;)
