I completed the entire Dawnguard questline on the vampire side. After killing Harkon, I talked to the servant guy and he asked if I wanted to restore the passageway to the courtyard. I said yes.
The thing is, that I haven't noticed any difference anywhere? I exited, went to do some quests and...
The only thing that changes with a dead spouse is that if you want to move houses, you have to ask one of them instead of your spouse.
Girls can bring home a fox or a bunny, while boys bring home a mudcrab or a skeever!
Your spouse does speak his/her mind about the city when you ask how the kids are doing, so yeah, that should be a thing you could ask even without the kids.
I'd also like it to be unique depending on the race of your spouse! I get that it's difficult to add unique race-related responses to every...
It would ruin the immersion, though. Lycanthropy is a gift of Hircine, and by becoming one you give your soul to him and promise to serve him at the eternal hunting fields or whatever he calls it.

3. You can't build a...
Soul Cairn is a place you visit in the DLC Dawnguard. You can't sell soul gems there, though!
A soul gem shop could be called the Soul Cairn, or Soul Shop, or ____'s great gems!
It's kinda buggy at some places, like the display cases in your house not working. However it's a must-have if you roleplay, it's really cheap, and just adds to the immersion.
Yes, get it!
