    I doubt in on a Gateway. While it is possible on some laptops, it is much more complicated and time consuming then upgrading a desktop video card. As you can see, it's no walk in the park :oops:

    If you look at the specifications and it states Intel anything under graphics card, and under video memory is says "shared," you have an integrated graphics card that shares system memory. Dedicated video cards have their own ram but also consume more power; they are well worth it though ;).

    Yes, you're at the very least going to want a dedicated video card for your system, especially one with a substantial amount of video ram. I'm maxing out my 1.5gb with Bethesda's high resolution texture pack. Since you're on a budget something like this should be a good option for you...
