    Yea, that's all spectacle and biased. Honestly, Linux is the best and that's a fact. Also, you can use Windows 7 Ultimate and be perfectly fine too, you don't have to use Professional.

    There's somewhat of an advantage. You will get a slight FPS boost according to benchmarks. Also, I believe Windows XP doesn't support DX10 or greater. The difference from DX9 is negligible, but still it is something to consider.

    Guilty gear! It's amazing that every instrument was played by one guy. Who can deny some good ol sonic? Awesome music! I had to add zone of the enders. The music from this game was just awesome.

    Depending on how long you have been off of updating does matter. The update that came about in November actually changed the firmware of all the dvd drives. So, you should probably try playing another recent game to see if it is having the same problem.
