Developer Bethesda Games has officially revealed the next game in the Fallout series is very close to completion, and has released the first trailer for the game.
Watch as Dogmeat, the canine who has made appearances in every Fallout released so far, takes you through the many rooms of a ruined house, every so often flashing back to simpler times. Does this mean you get a dog in the game? Will it be Dogmeat? Maybe if you get hungry. Also, if the use of Ron Perlman in this trailer is any indication, he’ll return as the narrator (maybe).
How long has it been since the previous Fallout was released? Seven entire years. Obama had black hair when we got Fallout 3!
It’s also now confirmed this chapter of Fallout will take place in Boston. Scollay Square, the Bunker Hill Monument and the Massachusetts State House are all Boston landmarks and can be seen in the trailer.
“We know what this game means to everyone,” said Todd Howard, Fallout 4’s director. “The time and technology have allowed us to be more ambitious than ever. We’ve never been more excited about a game, and we can’t wait to share it.”
Bethesda Games promises more details regarding Fallout 4 will be revealed during E3, including a possible release date. Right now we know the game is confirmed for Playstation 4, XBox One and PC (killing rumors last-gen consoles would be supported).
