The Elder Scrolls Online To Use a Monthly Subscription

by on August 26, 2013

It was announced during Gamescom 2013 that The Elder Scrolls Online (TESO) will use a monthly subscription model. According to Matt Firor, GM ZeniMax Online, using any other model would have forced them to make changes and sacrifices that they did thought would hurt the gaming experience. An initial purchase of The Elder Scrolls Online will cost gamers $60 USD. The subscription fee will be $15 per month, with one free month of usage included. There will also be a cash shop available to buy “fun” things that are not integral to the core gameplay.

The Elder Scrolls Online (TESO) is scheduled for release in 2014. For More information, visit the official website.

Gamescom is an annual video games trade fair held in Germany. According to an official Gamescom press release, 340,000 visitors were in attendance during its 2013 convention. For more information on Gamescom, visit the official website.
