Elder Scrolls 6 Won’t Be Hurt By Fallout 76 Says Analyst

by on January 7, 2019

Will Bethesda bounce back from Fallout 76? Will Elder Scrolls 6 be affected?

There’s a lot of questions surrounding Bethesda right now following the debacle of Fallout 76, and many are asking if the in the works title Elder Scrolls 6 will be affected in any way. Well, gaming analyst Michael Patcher doesn’t seem to think so.

“I don’t think there’s any risk to any future single player games,” Pachter said while speaking to GamingBolt. “It just tells you that they weren’t ready to make a multiplayer-only game. They probably have to go back and figure out what they did wrong, and how to get it right. I have to say, it’s the first game in the Fallout series I haven’t played, and I don’t have any interest in playing it. I mean, it was so poorly reviewed that I’m just not gonna try it, and I’ve played all their games for hundreds of hours.

I expect that people will look at it as a blip, but you never know.”

Many will be holding their breath until they know for sure.

I haven’t even tried 76 yet. I might try it if I can do so for free. I am just not interested in multi. Even with TESO, I played about 45 minutes in toto in open beta. I see 76 as a departure, an experimental branch, more than an indication of future direction. I’m more concerned about how the terrible dialogue choices in FO4 will effect TESVI.

I doubt any of the big Morrowind/Oblivion/Skyrim fans were really very interested in a multi Fallout anyway. However, you can bet your bottom dollar I’ll have TESVI at 12:01 release day, and I doubt I’ll be alone. Hell I might move east to get it earlier.
