Throw my name into the pot, I like to help new people and have owned the game since release. One of these days I'll get around to becoming a premium member to help out REN with the costs.
Actually, when you enter the Fort with either the Stormcloak or Imperial Soldier they give you a mini tutorial on almost everything. They introduce attacking, blocking, picking locks, archery, sneaking amoung others. The only thing they don't show you is magic and how to manage your favorites...
I'm still getting WOW moments from this game. Here is a few recent ones from the Holidays:
South of Windhelm is a mage tower called Mjournheld or something like that. I heard a dragon roar and crept up with my Khajitt Sneak Archer and watched the Dragon take on like 6 mages. All the Fireballs...
I voted for the Altmer mostly because I hate the AD and all of their Thalmor agents. Solely based on looks I really hate how the Dunmer have dark sunken eyes, to me it's really ugly.
I think the best implementation of multiplayer would be if the scenario where a friend comes in and replaces your companion (or perhaps joins your party), he has no central part and no special dragonborn abilities but he can help you fight and heal you. Even that would be a cool aspect.
Oh, sorry a bit off topic. I am like a kid in a candy shop with so many races and classes to try so I have created about 8 characters so far and have played most to level 20 or so, my highest being 37. I plan on picking 2 and doing a Good Character play through and an Evil Character play through...
I was actually up late past my normal bedtime and fell asleep with the controller in my hand. I woke up to the screensave esque view of my character, got a 2nd wind and played for another 2 hours before calling it a night.
I've also had two all nighters playing until 6am and then sleeping...
I really didn't like that she drew a dagger on me in our first private meeting on the play through, so when I met Kematu on my first play through I decided to take his side. Then at the Stable meeting when he captured her I felt bad that I was sending her to her execution so I betrayed Kematu...
Mages usually are the least fun to fight but now I use paralyze and fear to corner them. Also Dragon Priests suck as they move and fireball all over the place.
I would recommend restraining yourself then from killing NPC's unless told to do so. There are plenty of random encounters and folks outside of cities that can be killed for the fun of it.
I play a style similar to my signature, where Honor and Courage before all else. Both my Orc and Imperial are Honor driven and courageous in their actions. My archer assassin on the other hand is an stone cold killer. Void of emotion she relies purely on instinct to survive.
Congrats to Bethesda on making such an awesome game. Forget the haters out there, some people have nothing better to do then complain. I haven't been hooked on a video game like this since Baldur's Gate came out oh so long ago.
