Xbox 360 Still trying to get 'Purity'

Thanks for the reply, The only other quests I have had active have been Main Quest, Civil War, and DLC. I have been doing quest-after-quest-after-quest for the companions (mostly Farkas, in hopes of curing him first) -- but nothing. Farkas has indeed changed from "I'm looking for work" to...

Xbox 360 Still trying to get 'Purity'

Does anyone have a solid, proof-backed sense of the requirements for getting Farkas and/or Vilkas to offer their respective 'Purity' quests? In particular, is it actually possible to get the quest after curing yourself of lycanthropy? Does it have anything to do with the 'state' of the...

    Purity/Cure

Thanks man! If that's true, it completely solves my problem. For RP reasons, I can't stand the idea (at least for certain characters) of waiting until curing the brothers to cure myself. Not sure where I heard that this wasn't possible though...

    Purity/Cure

So, I've been trying to get the Purity quests for the Companions, and they haven't been showing up for Vilkas or Farkas. I have all of the necessary conditions: I have done multiple radiant quests for each WITH Glenmoril Witch heads in my inventory the entire time. However, something has...

Never thought I'd say this but,

I dig the Modern Warfare CODs, as well as the original WWII entries, but I too play them primarily for the story (belive it or not). That being said, I don't even consider them on the same plane as The Elder Scrolls. Games like COD are nice temporary 'release' methods - Skyrim is an...

    Oblivion and Skyrim

The ability to speak to almost anyone, even if only about rumours or generic information. Also, I will hand it to the cities/settlements in Oblivion for being quite a bit more cyrodiilic than Skyrim's cities are nordic. Although I don't specifically miss Oblivion's version of the Imperial...

    The Beast Stone?...

Adam Warlock: Awesome story man! I love experiences like that. I've started to wonder if Bethesda's whole decision to remove most of the 'curse' aspect from lycanthropy (as in, unless you are wearing Hircine's cursed ring, you can transform entirely at will and are not victim to your 'urges')...

    The Beast Stone?...

Thanks for the response. You make some interesting points. That being said, it is still suggested that lycanthropes - regardless of origin - represent an abomination of nature (in other words, an affront to the natural domain of the All-Maker that the Skaal worship). I mean, the entire plot of...

    The Beast Stone?...

Ok, so maybe I'm missing something, but is it not bizarre that The Beast Stone gives you the ability to summon a werebear? It was my solid understanding that the Skaal (and thus, the All-Maker) had serious issues with the whole lycanthropy thing - in part at least due to the fact that it is...

    Quests that you avoid

Yeah. During 'A Cornered Rat', you are supposed to contact Brynjolf and do the whole 'joining the thieves guild' in order to discover Esbern's location. Even though this would usually begin as a misc quest - if you pursue it AS PART of 'A Cornered Rat', it is included as part of the quest's...

    Quests that you avoid

I get what you're saying. Really - as far as the Forsworn Conspiracy is concerned - it's down to deciding what I think is best in the long run. I'm trying to decide between doing the quest and killing Madanach OR pursuing civil war and giving Markarth to Stormcloaks (failing/removing said...

    Quests that you avoid

Thanks for the advice man. I'm atm considering just letting the whole Forsworn Conspiracy thing disappear following my giving of Markarth to the Stormcloaks. This is because I have issues with helping both Madanach or Thonar. I feel like my Skaal wouldn't get involved in that. AT THE SAME TIME...

    Quests that you avoid

I know, the whole stacking titles thing is kind of bizarre. I think it would be kind of cool if their was a way of definitively associating titles with your character's name (although I guess people can do that when naming character's in the first place). For instance - pursuing the Stormcloak...

    Quests that you avoid

Hey guys, I was curious about this, seeing as - as I mentioned in a previous thread - I am currently RPing a Nord born of the Skaal, and I have particularly been trying to decide which quests to do or, in some cases more importantly, skip - paying attention to the values of my character. For...

    Skaal Tribe

Exactly. The Skaal are the closest imo to how Nord culture is depicted through the lore - even though they don't technically follow the Nordic Pantheon. Oh how I wish they were given more than a small part of a small island.
