Kay Stormcloak isn’t actually the daughter of Ulfric. She uses his surname because 1. she doesn’t have a proper one and 2. To show she supports him.
She was adopted by Brand-Shei, who raised her from a tiny baby to a pretty teenager. She lived in Riften her whole life and became a Priestess of Mara when she was 16. That’s when she met the handsome ex-Thalmor justiciar named Sebastian. The two became best friends due to their similar personalities. They were both goofy, kind, and caring.
Together, they now travel around Skyrim and get into all sorts of trouble.
