I appreciate your reply! your advice is not bad, however I dont think your analysis of how a 32 bit vs 64 bit program works is correct. If I was running a 32 bit OS you would be right, however I am running Win 7 64. So while the game will only use a max of 3gb (I dont have PAE turned on. Ill do...
It never crashes at first start up. Its hard to explain fully, but I never ever have a problem getting to main menu. It is very rare I get a CTD. But sometimes when I do, if I try to reload my save it will keep ctd. I usually have to laod a save that is inside my house, then from there I can...
I have found that sometimes, if I CTD then restart my game, that it will crash while loading. Thats why I wonder if the mods in my mod list might have some incompatibilities or something.
It crashes during gameplay. Ill be running along in the woods, and then crash. Or Ill zone into or out of somewhere, crash. I uninstalled my SMC mod and did a test and found that it cut my video ram usage by half. And during ym testing, flying around all of skyrim, it never once crashed. I am...
I am using a lot of mods, but I dont think its a mod conflict issue, rather a video memory issue. The max video memory I have is 3072 MB. The game never uses more than 3020MB. I have run loot to ensure mod load order and I dont think I have any mods that are less than 5k endorsements so I...
Ill try that and see how it works. I tuned my ENB a little more last night and installed onetweak and adjusted process priority and its running really smooth now. almost always 60 FPS unless outside with lots of stuff going on. even then my lowest was around 30fps.
Your CPU is just to old, and too slow to handle Skyrim. I would upgrade that first off before anything else. The only problem is, the architecture has changed significantly since the core 2 duo days so you would end up needing a new motherboard, ram as well as CPU. There used to be a mod that...
Im exactly the opposite. The keyboard and mouse are my hands, and a controller takes me forever to move around and look at stuff. I usually cant even look straight on a console FPS game with a controller. It all boils down to what your comfortable with. Connect that controller to your PC, game on!
I think it all depends on what you gamed with first. Having grown up in the Atari age, I cannot use controllers for FPS games, too slow, too inaccurate if they dont use some sort of auto aiming, which in my book is cheating. They cant ever be as smooth or as responsive as a mouse + keyboard...
hmm. Frostfall is really cool, but its not a mandatory mod for me. Perhaps Ill disable it and see if I have any trouble. Honestly im not sure im getting too much problems from lag anyways. With Realvision ENb running I get 35-60 FPS outside, and always 60 FPS solid when indoors. I just get...
Dont mix Steam workshop mods with Nexus mods, LOOT cannot differentiate between the two and wont be able to sort your load order properly. At least thats what Im told on one of the nexus threads I have posted on.
I use realvision, it is very performance friendly if you know how to tune it. Start by installing the lite version if you dont have a monster machine, then while in game, press plops + enter and go to effects on the right window and lower the saturation for day night and interiors to get rid of...
