Yes, I do see them practicing with dummies, and sometimes I see them walking around with their swords sheathed at their hips.
That's an interesting experiment and I look forward to see the outcome. I always wondered what would happen with different 'parenting styles'. For example when they ask...
I had a similar bug on the Xbox 360, where everytime that I saved, the game would crash. It always happened after drinking the potion. Try switching off all you autosaves in the options menu and don't manually save the game until you have finished the quest, plus a couple of small side quests...
My family seem to like Heljarchen Hall. I imagine Vorstag likes it because he can go hunting, and Hroar likes it for the same reason. My daughter complained about the cold at first, but I think she mentioned going sledding? I don't remember.
Oh. She also refused to go in the basement for a...
I adopted Hroar, because his name is awesome. I also chose Sophie, the flower girl from Windhelm because I thought she was cute, she has a pet fox. I gave both of them swords so they can practice fighting and go out hunting with their papa.

The quest is pretty interesting. It's nice to have a 'break' from all the usual dungeon clearing. Quest items are so annoying sometimes. I understand why you can't get rid of them during the quest, but when it's finished?
OMG the t-shirts! :p
I read that in his voice! The IT Crowd is so awesome.
Shouldn't there be some sort of update to fix this kind of thing? It really sucks when this kind of thing happens. I also had the bug where you have to go to the Temple of Vaermina to solve Dawnstar's nightmare problems. You couldn't save...
I assume I go at the times when she's scripted to be at the marketplace, though I never tried looking for her in Candlehearth Hall. Are you able to get the key from her before asking the guards about her?
I don't remember if I did Mourning Never Comes... I'll check that out too.
This game is...
Will feel a little dated and clunky in comparison to Skyrim, but is definitely worth playing. The story is great and the side quests are hilarious, and it will help you to understand more about The Elder Scrolls Series as a whole, as well as some of the random facts you find out about in Skyrim.
It is true that all races have a place in Tamriel, and it's interesting to look at all the lore behind each culture. The way you describe it, it does seem sad that the Nords have gone downhill from their original description in terms of trade, but they are still outstanding in the other aspects...
