Here's a logo redesign we have to do for my graphics design class. We had to pick a local restaurant (no chains or franchises) and basically rebrand them. The Eiffel tower is a sketch I did by hand and scanned, then vectorized in Illustrator so it will scale as necessary without losing the quality.

dunklunkI've been mulling this one over for a bit now. Mulling. Can't recall last time I mulled, but anyway. Michael's comment about it looking like a Christmas tree is spot on. My take on it is it reminds me of the NW tower of the Taj Mahal. Not to be confused with the SE tower now. ;) The fonts? Yeah, if it's Paris, then I think they fit the artsy style of the city. :)
