"I think your definition of wild adventures might vary from mine. Besides, I doubt any bar would serve you more than a pint. You're so skinny, you'd probably go bottoms up after 2 drinks. Lightweight~" She teased him playfully.

When the door slammed shut loud enough to reverberate audibly around them, Lilumae knew they might have made the Jarl or at least his gaurds a little ticked off in the act. "Oops? Oops! Kova, we should be getting out of h---ah!" Before she could finish her sentence, the bosmer was off, weaving through the market faster than she had woven out of it, with her hand clutched tightly within his.

Instantly her panic set in, her chest tightened and her lungs ached for the air that she wasn't letting in.
"We have to go indoors, Kova." She whispered, pleading with a pained expression on her otherwise lovely face. "I don't want to be in this crowd..." She inched closer to him, as if she wished she could simply occupy the same space as him, and use him to hide from the world.

"Hey," he said, placing a palm against her face. She was burning up. He narrowed an eye at her, trying his best to assess her situation. This was a panic attack and he had dealt with this same sort of thing before. Reacting quickly, he gently took her by the arm, holding her close to him as he forced their way through the crowds and into the space behind the tavern. He checked first to make sure no one was there, and lucky for him, they were.

He looked down at her again, placing her near the wall of the tavern in case she felt dizzy. "You're okay. Look. It's just you and me, okay? You're fine. Can you breathe?"

She whimpered quietly, closing her eyes and trying to steady herself. She felt like the entire world was spinning wildly out of view and she was unable to hold onto it.
Reaching out, she clung to him for a long moment, trying desperately to inhale, to force oxygen through her lungs, to steady her pounding heart.

"I'm so sorry, Kova." She choked, feeling wretched that he was forced to deal with her like this time and again. What kind of friend was she? Forcing him into awkward situations every time they stepped out into public. No wonder she was alone, who would want to deal with someone like her everyday? The thought alone made pain streak across her face in an obvious way.

Kova bit his lip with a frown, still looking down at her. This outburst made him wonder what she was doing in Whiterun in the first place. He made a mental note to steer clear of any holds in their future endeavors. The Bosmer shook his head slowly when she tried to apologize.

"It's okay," he said, trying to keep his voice down as much as possible. He wasn't sure what to do other than... leave the city with her. "We're getting out of here, alright? We can go... find adventure or whatever you wanted. Hey, we could even go to the College up in Winterhold if you felt the need." He offered her a comforting smile.

"Kova, you don't have to go anywhere with me. I'm so sorry I dragged you into my problems. You shouldn't have to deal with this." She shook her head, frowning, pain marring her delicate features. Normal people didn't panic at the sight of others coming too close. Normal people didn't break down in public. Why couldn't she just be normal too?

"So... if you want to go, follow your calling, I'd understand." She said, after a moment, her eyes focusing intently on the ground beneath her feet, unable to look meet his gaze for fear she might beg him to stay.
She'd never had a friend before, and Kova seemed really great, but all things considered, maybe it would be for the best if they went their separate ways.

Kova rolled his eyes, understanding that anything she said held absolutely no relevance, as the stress was speaking for her; controlling what she thought was rational. "If I didn't want you around, I would've told you to hit the road already. Now, c'mon, we've got bigger things in store than this little trash heap of a city... if you're comfortable, of course."

He extended his hand to her, raising an eyebrow and smirking. "Partners in crime, right?"

"Metaphorically speaking" She chirped, smiling weakly at him as she accepted his hand and gave it a hard squeeze. Kova was too good of a friend to put up with her like this, but she truly appreciated it. She didn't want to lose his friendship, we was by far more than she had expected and more than she probably deserved.

"Let's hit the road, Kova. Er, the back roads, preferably." She added, not wanting to run into the crowds again.
