So recently, I've un-installed then re-installed Skyrim for a fresh install of the game, due to mods causing it to crash, and I couldn't figure out the problem. Now, whenever I start up the game, I get this weird texture issue with all the smoke effects and blood effects (as shown below). I've updated my drivers, but that doesn't seem to work. I've also tried looking it up, but I can't find anywhere where someone else has the same problem or has a solution. Can someone please help?

Your posted image is broken. When was tha last time you installed the game before this? The SKyrim High Resolution Textures pack is part of the default installation for the game and it's buggy.

Hm, wasn't broken a moment ago... I'll try to fix it.

But I never really installed the High Res pack, didn't care much for it. But if that's the case, how would I go about fixing it?

You can delete it from the launch window under data files.

Can you repost your image that illustrates the problem?

I can see it now but it's not what you described. It's the main menu screen and it looks like a video card related problem and there are no blood or smoke effects. What kind of video card do you have?

    Radeon HD 6750.
But those grey boxes are supposed to be smoke, and it's the same deal with blood effects, just didn't take the time to take a picture.

Try turning off the AA in the game options. If that works you may still be able to use AA, but it has to be set through the CCC, not the game options.

You may want to try posting on the AMD Radeon forum as well.
