Crow rushed to Geel, catching him as he collapsed from exhaustion. He pull Geel back to the log melee was on and leaned him against it."Geel we need to withdraw! Their achers will cut us down if we stay in the open!". It was then crow released the next wave approaching the knight and crow rushed to aid him "I've got your back knight!" he said as he braced himself for the incoming falmer.

Crow offered to help Edwyn with the next fight, but he fought off 1 Falmer then rushed to save the Argonian, Geel. Edwyn was left alone to fight 3 Falmer, a situation he was a bit frightened of. I think I can take them on, but this will be an interesting fight. Edwyn considered his options for a brief second on what form of magic he would use to try to hurt them. Fire and Frost have proven ineffective, perhaps lightning will be better. Edwyn prepared the spell in his left hand and cast it upon the ground beside him, a powerful storm atronach. He watched the atronach send lighting at one of the Falmer, and just for a split-second, Edwyn thought he saw a bit of pain on the face of the Falmer. Of course, just the look of their face already causes pain to others. And with that, the real fight started.

Edwyn didn't have much room to back up if the Falmer came at him, so he charged directly at them and sent a powerful strike at the one on the right. The Falmer deflected the majority of the blow, but the end of the sword hit the Falmer's right arm, causing blood to begin pouring out. The Falmer continued to stand, but it's fighting skill was severely weakened. His charge somewhat successful, Edwyn prepared for the Falmer counter-attack. Edwyn dodged the blows and waited for his opportunity to strike.

After a few successive dodges and feeble attempts to go on the offense, Edwyn saw his opportunity. The Falmer he'd previously injured had blood pouring out his open wound, and his arm looked weaker. Edwyn grabbed the Falmer's arm when the Falmer struck, got behind it, and drove his sword through his stomach. Edwyn then pushed the still screaming Falmer into the other Falmer, his sword cutting into his ribs. Edwyn pulled out his sword and stabbed into the 2nd Falmer's ribs, rendering him unable to move further due to his severe injuries. Now, it was a 1 on 1 fight.

The next Falmer would not go down as easily. It obviously had some experience fighting for it would not make an amateur mistake like some of the others. Edwyn and the Falmer took turns slashing and stabbing at each other, neither with much success. I've never tried this as I've never needed it, but I do remember reading an interesting Conjuration book. It told of being able to sustain 2 Atronachs and Thralls, a feat Edwyn had never accomplished. The situation at a standstill, Edwyn decided he'd just continue the fight 1 on 1 with the Storm Atronach continuing to cause minimal damage to the Falmer. Edwyn was looking for a way to win the engagement when he saw an opportunity. He deflected the Falmer's blow and sent his sword into the Falmer's shoulder. The Falmer hissed, but would not go down so easily. The Falmer equally sent his sword into the side of Edwyn's ribs. Ah, the pain! SO... terrible. Stupid beast, you die on this day! Edwyn's rage was at his limit, and he boiled over the edge at the sight of the wretched beast. Edwyn kicked the Falmer on the ground and prepared dark magic once again in his left hand. Alright, show this beast a horrible death and don't mess this up. He cast the spell and a giant Frost Atronach appeared. Edwyn turned back and to his surprise the storm atronach was still there. Edwyn let out a sort of evil laugh and dropped his magic sword on the ground.

The next moment was the most awful, blood-filled moment of Edwyn's life. The storm atronach sent a shock to the nearly dead Falmer and the Frost Atronach beat down upon it with it's club. Still it wouldn't die. Blasted beast, I will kill you myself! Edwyn positioned himself behind the Falmer's head but standing over him, and started to beat the Falmer with his fists. He beat the Falmer so hard that blood started pouring out its head and splattering everywhere. Edwyn didn't notice, his vision red at the beast who had injured him. He continued beating the beast, until so much blood had splattered everywhere that no more would come out. Edwyn was now almost covered with the foul-smelling blood by the time he noticed the Falmer was totally dead. By the Nine, no beast deserves such a death. What have I done? Edwyn now realized the Falmer's sword had caused him damage, and his side was bleeding badly. He knew noone had time to heal him. He had to act fast so he pulled out the Necromancer Robes from his pack attached to his belt. They had been neatly folded for so long, he hated to do it, but he ripped them into strips and tied them around his body to tighten the armor, putting pressure on the wound and slowing the bleeding. By now, the 2 atronachs had been attacking a few Falmer archers with minimal results but they had distracted them from Edwyn's obvious weakness. Edwyn retreated back to the log and simply sat down for a minute, waiting for the next inevitable charge by the Falmer. He heard someone mention withdrawing, but right now Edwyn was relaxing for just a moment, knowing he had defeated many Falmer, but also that many more remained.

Withdraw? To where? They surround us on all sides, shall we retreat through the ground? Geel grimaced slightly as they all began to group round the spot, each one fighting his or her own enemy.

It was time for stupidity, to say the least. Pure stupidity, held together by meager prayers and the dire need for hope. They were too exhausted to pull this off, too weak. Yet as snorts of pain escaped from Geel's nostrils, he knew that that was the only way to survive.

"Get into position," He shouted, voice hoarse and rasping. "We're going in!"

Clutching his shoulder, he sidestepped Glass's deadly sword, heading towards the Falmer's dwellings. He had seen it when a teeming score of Falmer had suddenly appeared from it, no doubt reinforcements. They must have heard the battle, and realized that we were too much trouble to be easily dispatched.

Using a column of shrieking flame, he forced the Falmer to tumble for cover, trying to avoid the snarling fire. Gem and the Dragonborn ran along, their brutal weapons destroying skullls and maiming flesh. Geel heard the distant clang of weapons, faint in his ear. The wind whistled past, carrying with it their distress.

Soon, the great jaws of the cavern loomed before them, casting a shadow upon the forest floor. Geel readied himself as everyone got into their position, blood pumping hard in his veins. The battle would be trickier now- Even though the cavern prevented more than two Falmer fighting a person at once, there were problems. Falmer could come from behind them now, cutting off their escape route. This...This is madness.

Gritting his teeth, he ran into the darkness.

Glass was still in the middle of the battlefield, when Geel started moving. He saw the cave they were headed for, but when he tried to move, five Falmer surrounded him. Damn.... Glass thought. He was stuck there, in the open. He remembered his training, and felt the weight of his armor on his body. Fear cuts deeper than swords, he thought. Those chaurus blades would never be able to slash through the heavy plate, and the falmer would need time to find the joints where the armor was weaker.

He lashed out, and felt a sword hammering at his armor. It did not pierce the armor though, and Glass continued his attack. An arrow hit his shield, and bounced off, while Glass beheaded one of them. He turned around to see more falmer around him. He was an island on the field of Falmer, it seemed.

Alistar cursed under his breath, he was alone with one other. The rest of the group had retreated into the gaping maw of a cave. "Damn it." He said through gritted teeth, locked in combat with a seemingly endless wave of Falmer. His heart was pumping hard, sweat poured down his face and he was moving entirely on instinct. The entire time he felt the beast inside him, clawing at his insides and gnashing it's teeth. The smell of blood crept into his nostrils and he began to salivate, the Wolf within howled and roared, desperate to take over.

No, not here. He thought to himself, forcing the thoughts away all while staving off the scores of hideous beasts. He swallowed, his mouth was dry as cotton and his arms began to shake with exhaustion. He began moving slower, what the Falmer lacked in combat prowess they made up for in sheer numbers. He began falling back, trying to move toward the cave entrance when suddenly a swift flying arrow embedded itself into the Ranger's back, he dropped to one knee and cried out as scalding hot pain shot up from just below his shoulder blade. It knocked the wind out of him, his mind fogged as his ears began to ring.

He picked himself up, hearing the vicious snarling and hissing of the approaching Falmer which would surely tear him to pieces in his weakened state. With every step, the pain became more intense. With a grimace on his face he began running towards the black chasm that was the cave, the entrance was formed by jagged rocks coated with moss protruding from the soil. Standing before him and sweet salvation was a single Falmer warrior, clutching a black, twisted blade. It bared it's dripping fangs as Alistar approached, ready for him.

The Ranger bared his teeth back, his vision turned red as burning hot rage coursed through his veins. He grabbed hold of the sheathed Elven dagger fastened to his belt and ripped it out of it's scabbard. The cold steel gleamed in the midday sun as Alistar lunged at the beast. The Falmer slashed at him, but Alistar was fast, acting on pure adrenaline as he weaved under the strike and ran the beast through with the dagger. Plunging the blade deep into it's gut as the Falmer let out a choked gasp. Alistar slammed the creature down upon the ground, it's gut covered with blood as he fled into the darkness of the cave.

Crow was running behind the group when he suddenly released that the knight wasn't with them. He immediately spun and sprinted back to the cave exit. Just as he approached the exit he spotted a wounded man stagger past him. Was he in the group? Crow thought to himself as he ran by.

Upon reaching the exit he spotted the knight being swarmed by falmer, barley able to contend with there superior numbers. "KNIGHT!" crow shouted as he charged though the falmar, hacking and slashing as he went. When he made it to the knight he and crow fought a fighting withdrawal towards the cave, the knight shielding crow from arrows and crow covering him from falmer attempting to stab the knights weak points. Once they reached the cave they ran in, hoping to lose the falmer. As they they Began to near the group, the knight fell to the ground, unconscious. Crow quickly examined him to find that a falmer managed to get a strike through the knights armor, leaving a small cut. Though it was small the blade been dipped in poison which, to crows relief was only a potion of fatigue. Crow began to drag the unconscious knight back to the group hoping that one of them would come to help him.

Edwyn's pain had been lessened as the bandages helped to slow the bleeding. He barely had time to stand up before Geel and the others started retreating into the cavern. I must get to the cavern. I... must. Edwyn began to walk as fast as he could without his injuries pain starting to overwhelm him. It wasn't a very fast walk and Edwyn was lucky scores of Falmer didn't swarm him. Their main source of entertainment was Crow dragging the Knight sellsword back to the cave. Edwyn looked for a moment at the cave... then at Crow. The Cave... it would be a haven from the beasts. The others... they could heal me possibly... but Crow, he may die out here. He needs help. But, I cannot walk fast enough to help him drag him, my injuries would feel terrible. I will... delay the Falmer. Edwyn summoned up his strength and ran between Crow and the Falmer and prepared his spell. This time, he had dark magic in both hands, and with a shout of rage, he threw the orbs upon the ground, summoning 2 Frost Atronachs. "Crow... hurry... they won't last long. I'll hold the beasts off for at most a few minutes... no further promises." The frost atronachs charged against the Falmer, their bodies running over a few and holding them off. But, they wouldn't last long. A few minutes may have been a stretch... hurry Crow.

As they entered the hungry mouth of the earthen beast, Geel felt as if the creature bristled, it's tongue of carpeting moss trembling. Looking into the lurking darkness, Geel saw the cave become narrower, the stone creature's gullet twisting and turning as it got smaller.

Turning around, He saw two huge frost antroachs suddenly burst forth in an avalanche of upturned soil. A flurry of dead leaves were hurled into the air as the giants lurches forward, trails of chilling mist flowing behind them. The wave of reinforcements that the Falmer had sent were flung aside by these massive daedra, tossed like mere pebbles. Frost sprinkled from the creatures as they battered the remaining Falmer, their limbs thick chunks of ice. A quick estimate told Geel that there were about a dozen, no doubt all having arrived when they heard the sounds of their battle.

A loud shriek came from the shadows, and Geel startled. The frenzied creature was hissing and spitting, eyes burning like the pits of hell. With a last snarl, the beast hurled itself forward with astonishing speed....Only to be impaled by Rale's blade. Dammit...Looks like that one was supposed to be a reinforcement. There goes our chance of a quiet entrance. Geel groaned with fatigue, his legs buckling briefly under the sheer effort required to stand up. He hoped the others were in better shape.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Falmer was busy feeding the Chaurus when one of the scouts came back, bleeding and bedraggled. The young soldier spoke in urgent clicks, rushing to relay their misfortune.

The Elder Falmer nodded, sending the scout away with a short hiss. As the weary inexperienced creature made it's way back to the battlefield, the Elder Falmer turned to face the figure in the dark.

"Man, coming to find you. They kill my kin... Butchor my kind. What do youuu plan to do?" The Falmer's words echoed in the subterranean chamber, his voice the texture of sandpaper. The metal man in the corner stirred. Thick plates of steel shifted as he looked up, the chainmail padding beneath his armored plates clinking gently with his movement.

" What do I plan to do? Why, I plan to hold by ground. As expected, they will come... Let them find me as they wanted to, before I obliterate them." His voice was as rich as honey, yet as cold as the metal which he donned. As the metal man slipped on his hefty gauntlets on top of the boiled leather gloves he wore, the Falmer nodded his uncertain approval. Though he did not exactly like the possibility of killing off so many of his friends, he had confidence in this strange metal man.

"Whilst they come, I shall complete my last experiments with the last stock you gave me. It would be a waste if they got killed in the battle, before I can use them." With that, he turned abruptly, striding towards the experimental lab. The heavy bear cloak he wore swirled around him, seemingly as fluid as liquid as he took his long strides. Within seconds, he was gone, the sound of his boots no longer loud upon the stone.

Crow nodded to at the man edwyn in agreement. Although crow had no intention of leaving him behind he knew that facing them alone would be suicide." I'll bring back help!" he shouted and went all out pulling the knight through the cave. Crow hoped the narrow passage would restrict the number of falmer edwyn had to face.

As crow continoud down the cave he could see any sing of the group and began to consider heading back alone to help. However just as he was about to give up he spotted the man he had seen entering the earlier. The man by the look of it was a nord ranger of sort and seemed to have some injurys. Crow quickly proper the knight against the wall a rushed over "hey there's still some one back there fighting the falmer. We got to help!" but even as the words came out of his mouth he released that the man was in need of medical attention. Crow quickly reached into his bag and took out a potion of healing that he still had from his journey. "here drink this. Once it takes affect come and help us" crow then sprinted off before the ranger could responed.

Crow spotted Edwyn and his one remaining antonach still holding against the falmer. "no man left behind!" he shouted as he sprinted forward and started hacking and slashing at the falmer like a man possessed, eager to protect the man who was so ready to give his own life to protect others. Just as it seemed they could survive the onslaught a falmer Mage at the rear of the swarm began resurrecting the slain falmer to fight again. Crow knew that unless the Mage was slain they wouldn't stand a chance.

Edwyn had been trying his hardest to fight the Falmer, but we was SO tired and there were so many. He felt like falling on the ground, just dying on the spot. But, his parents wouldn't be proud of that, and his Aunt Barbona would be so ashamed. So, he kept fighting against overwhelming odds. One of his Frost Atronachs had been defeated earlier and the Falmer were attacking the other one viciously. But just then, Crow came running back up and he began attacking the Falmer. "Crow, we have to fall back to the others. This... is suicide. We need to go. I barely have enough strength to stand, much less run..." Just then, an enraged Falmer charged at Edwyn, hissing and spitting everywhere. The Falmer cut at Edwyn's arms, but he missed. Edwyn sent his Magic Blade through the Falmer's head, killing him. Edwyn threw the Falmer's body into the larger group, then ran back into the cave. "Follow me Crow, I have a plan!"

Circe sat against one of the thousands of trees in the forest and closed her hazel eyes, listening to the battle not to far away. Beside her lay the headless body of a sell-sword. The body itself had little damage done to it compared to the kills the rest of her kind committed everyday. After feeding she had laid the man's pale body on a clean grassy area near her, folded his arms and spent a few seconds of time motionless where she would have closed his eyes. For Circe this was a rare occasion. She seldom killed people who hadn't angered or provoked her. It didn't matter if the person's annoyance was small or big. Only a week ago she had killed a barmaid for telling her she looked scruffy. God, did I make her scream.

As the cries of Man and Falmer alike died down Circe opened her eyes and stared into the beautiful scene around her. Branches hight above her carried thin leaves that swayed gently in a cool breeze, the sun beaming down on them and revealing each of their tiny spines as well as patterning the ground she sat on like a see of light. Birds were talking to one-another in song, not caring who heard the striking melody. In the bushes rabbits played with each other, rolling around care free. Why is it that the creatures who are believed to be superior live the most painful lives? Are we really superior?

She shrugged and then rose to her feet. From the place she stood, trees sheltered the battlefield and made it impossible to see. She could hear it though. The group had fled underground, but a handful of Falmer remained on the surface. In no hurry whatsoever, Circe began to walk towards the area she listened to. She could take four or five Falmer with little effort, since drinking she was more relaxed, stronger, agile.

After five minutes had passed she strode out onto the clearing before the cavern. Immediately Five disgusting abominations of nature turned towards her. Horribly scarred faces holding eyes that could no longer witness their terrible murders. None of them charged. By a quick glance at them she could see that three of them were injured.

'Well, what are you waiting for?'

As soon as the words were out of her mouth the two able soldiers charged. Both holding their swords in vulnerable positions above above themselves. Once they were close enough Circe grabbed them both by the wrists, turned them around and forced them to the ground.

'You are pathetic! I know you can understand me so don't act dumb. Once you were a great race, capable of amazing things. It wasn't your fault that you fled underground and became what you are today, but it certainly was your fault that you became so misguided.'

With that she crushed both of their skulls and made her way to the other three Falmer. All of whom were so badly injured that they could not walk. Once she had snapped each of their necks Circe continued to the cavern. From inside she could hear the echo's of her group. She was about to walk in when she heard the clicking again. Loads of Falmer, all around me. Those five were merely a distraction. Backing into the cavern she scanned the area. Dammit! These monsters are even better at hiding than me.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Falmer hadn't attacked. Circe had continued walking into the cavern and could hear nothing behind her. She didn't have time to ask herself why. No doubt we will have trouble from them later however. A few steps further and Circe heard voices. In the dark her vision was almost as good as it was in the day. She saw the man she believed to be called Crow and another man she had not seen before. Coming closely behind them she spoke.

'Crow, it's Circe. Don't scream, I am not going to hurt you.'

Crow reflexively struck behind him, narrowly missing circe's neck. He would have attacked her again if not for edwyn retreat and the falmer closing in on him."dammit I don't have time for this!" he shouted before running after Edwyn. As he ran he noticed that Circe was following him."why are you back here?! Have you come to sabotage are group more or have you just come to sate your thirst?" he then noticed the falmer closing in. "Edwyn if you have a plane use it now!" he shouted ahead.

(Flint, you put Forsworn instead of Falmer)
With Crow beside Edwyn along with Circe, Edwyn put his dark magic to use. I must focus once more. Concentrate on the magic, don't worry. Edwyn was relaxed when he thrust the orbs forward, the 2 Frost Atronachs completely blocked anyway for the Falmer to continue advancing against them. In the close fighting, the Atronachs would be able to hold out for a while. This would give them enough time to come up with some sort of plan. "Alright, I'm going to go join the others. Perhaps one of them could heal my wounds. Feel free to join Crow. And Vampire" Edwyn whispered real low, knowing the vampire would only be able to make out the words. "hope you enjoyed lunch."

The fight with the Falmer had driven everyone into a loosely condensed group. Melee stayed on top of the log, firing off arrows as quickly as she could. Due to the wound on her arm, her speed was diminishing rapidly, as well as her ability to push past it. A dull ache had started in her elbow, and in no time the pain had worsened so much that it almost rendered her arm completely useless. She gritted her teeth against the throbbing burn in her arm, wondering how much longer this would go on.

A shriek of flame from Geel sent Falmer scrambling to avoid the whirlwind of heat blasting toward them. This allowed the group to make a hasty retreat into the cave. Well, almost everyone. Melee jumped down from the log and followed the group as quickly as she could while she shakily returned her bow to her back. As they made their way to the cave, she heard Crow yell "Knight!" behind her, and watched as he disappeared into to foliage to aid the Glass Knight, wherever he was. Melee paused briefly and flexed her arm. I can't return to full on battle with my arm. But I can still assist them somehow.

Continuing toward the cave, Melee pulled her bow back out and turned toward Crow and Glass, carefully walking backward. She took aim at Falmer that were approaching them, and let a few arrows loose. The pain in her arm drastically affected her shooting, as many of her shots did minimal damage to Falmer, if they even made contact. She scowled as she turned around and lowered her bow, running for the cave as more Falmer began to swarm around them. Damn it. I'm no help to them. I'm no help to anyone until I get my arm healed. But there's no time for that yet.

Melee caught up with the rest of the group further in the cave, the cool, dark walls feeling more like a tomb than a safe haven. She took this opportunity to ready her Healing spell in her right hand after tearing the now useless bandage away. Pressing her hand to her injured arm, she immediately felt a soothing warmth wash over her as her wound closed up until only a small scar remained. Looking around at the others, she moved closer to them, holding her hand out. "Is there anyone else in need of healing?"

Alistar's ears began to ring, his senses dulling as the shock from the profuse blood loss set in. He stumbled aimlessly around in the darkness, . The healing potion Crow had given him would be of little use before he removed the arrow, the ailing ranger tripped up on a gnarled root protruding from the stone floor. The back of his shirt was soaked with blood, leaving a maroon trail behind him. He heard voices, distorted, yet familiar. He was close, he could feel it.

The smell of his own blood crept into his nostrils and he shuddered, convulsing briefly as his primal urges began to take over. He forced the beast within away, gritting his teeth in both physical and psychological pain. The voices became louder, echoing several times throughout the cave entrance. The battle behind him was still going, the man who handed him the potion which he still clenched tightly in his hand, and another, a knight clad in heavy armor.

(Mr. SD, what are you talking about? We ran away from that battle. And besides, crow and Edwyn were fighting it. Edwyn wears fur armor. Crow dragged Glass to the group.) When Edwyn reached the others, his feet collapsed under him and he fell on the floor. He passed a Nord Ranger on the way here, but Edwyn was so exhausted his only focus was getting to the rest of the group and taking a temporary break from fighting. He heard someone say "Is there anyone else in need of healing?" "YES" Edwyn replied, feeling the blood once again flowing out the wound. He knew the 2 Frost Atronachs were still holding off the Falmer and had plenty of fight left, but he needed to tell the others. "Everyone, the only thing between the us and the Falmer rampaging down the cave, are 2 Frost Atronachs. They are holding for now, but eventually, either the Falmer will defeat them or the Atronachs temporary portal from Oblivion will close. Can anyone... think of a plan?"

Alistar's vision was blurred as he made out the shapes of a man sprinting by, his steps resounding throughout the cave. The ranger pulled himself to his feet, and began taking off after him. He picked up the pace, finding the strength to keep it together despite the copious amount of blood he had lost. Get it together, you're a Strider, you're better than this. He told himself, fighting away the pain and fatigue. With a scowl on his face, he found himself stepping down into a small clearing within the cave, the area filled with people all staring at him. For a moment, he had forgotten that among these people were close friends and companions.

"I'm bleeding... I.." He managed to murmur before his knees gave out, he slumped against the hard stone wall, sliding downwards to the ground as he drifted in and out of consciousness.

Lyle leaped to a tree above the falmer. He looked at the frost atronachs who were fighting valiantly. I won't let them get through. Thought Lyle. He then leaped to the ground behind the falmer. He drew his poison tipped ebony blades and sliced 2 falmer in the back of their neck. The falmer dropped to the ground having seizures. The rest of the falmer turned to face Lyle. As they did one of the Atronachs vanished. Lyle drank some skooma and threw an Iron dagger(again tipped with poison) at the lead Falmer. He dropped and started spazing. Lyle attaining the groups attention sprinted away from the group he was stalking earlier. As he was running he turned his head to see about 8 falmer pursuing him. he also looked at the man who summoned the atronachs, Lyle winked at him as if to say Just this one time.
