Private [ROF] Rise of the Falmer

"...Er.. My arm is literally bent backwards... So I don't think a health potion will help that much.." He said sadly, grabbing a cloth from his bag and making a makeshift cast.

"Now would be a lovely time for me to have remembered my bow." Melee charges out her flames spells again, and eyes the wolf closest to her, instinctively stepping closer to the other members of the group. "And sorry J'mal, I figured it would be better than nothing."

(Oh yeah, there are more wolves!! )

Emberlynn takes a deep breath and swings her sword swiftly at one of the creatures at it approaches. The strike cuts deep into the wolf's flesh and burns the beast where it hits him. She uses a flame spell in her other hand to finish off the creature as its crumpled body falls to the ground, its flesh still smoldering slightly.

Alistar braces himself as one of the wolves lunges for him, leaping through the air in hopes of tackling him down. Alistar slashes across the wolf's belly horizontally and spills it's guts in a flurry of blood before it hits the ground in a maroon stained mess.

Melee sees one of the other wolves advancing on her, and wastes no time in firing a charged flame Destruction spell right at it. The blast knocks over the wolf and the drains the last of its life as the fire continues to inflict damage on it after the initial shock of the spell. She looks around. "Are there any more of them?"

"I don't think so..." Emberlynn replied uncertainly, hesitantly lowering her sword. "Man... you really never know what you'll run into out here, huh?"

Day by day, the things she encountered in the wilds of Skyrim never failed to amaze her. What must it be like to live in this place all the time? Part of her longed to ask her companions, but she did not want to say any more to let-on her lack of experience, and said nothing further.

"Well... Lets.. Get back on track then!" He said slightly limping and waiting for the others to advance with him.

Melee lowered her hands again, looking around them one last time to make sure there were no more wolves sneaking up on them. "At least I'm used to wolves. People are always running into them, they're pretty common. Trolls are what you want to look out for." She turned her attention to J'mal. "How is your arm feeling?"

"I suggest we hurry, there'll be more." and with that Alistar and the rest of the group pick up the pace, and after another hour of hiking they finally reach the steps leading up to Whiterun. Things look bad, we can see Dragonreach in pieces from outside the wall. And as we head for the main gate the sights get worse, the dead are being wheeled away in carts which pass by us, and when we step inside the streets are filled with rubble and debris.

Melee's face grows pale again, and it's apparent that she's very worried. "Oh no." She glances at the carts wheeling people away, and starts running back to see what happened to Arcadia's shop, hoping she's ok.

Emberlynn is speechless as she takes in the sight before her. All she had ever wanted was to visit the places her Grandfather had loved so much, and share in his adventures... But things were going horribly wrong. What would he say if he could see this once-beautiful city in ruins like this? She thinks of the vivid descriptions of Whiterun that she had read in his journals and tries to imagine what it may have been like in its former glory.

The thought of it made her even sadder, but she chooses not to voice any of these thoughts. After all, this had not been her home... She does not want to appear insensitive.

She chances a sideways glance at Melee, fearing the reaction she will see on her face. But when she looks, Melee is already running in the other direction.

They chase Melee into what remains of the market district, Arcadia's shop is mostly destroyed and what remains are chunks of rubble and debris.

J'mal replys "Its fine.. Nothing serious.. Er.. Just a busted arm.."- Hour ago

J'mal looks around the carnage and notices something near a house "Hey guys... Whats that thing near the house?" He says pointing towards a hole near Arcadia's Cauldron ..Or whats left of it. -Current time

Melee doesn't seem to hear J'mal's question, or anything for that matter as she comes to a halt outside what remains of Arcadia's shop. She starts calling her name out and sifting through the rubble looking for any sign of her body. The panicked look on her face has been replaced by one of fierce determination. At this point, she doesn't care what she finds, she just wants to find something.

J'mal walks over to the hole and finds a ripped piece of Arcadia's cloths on a Falmer arrow "The hell is this thing?" He said looking at the arrow and cloth.

A hooded nord steps out from the ruins of the Drunken Huntsman and walks over to the group of travellers.
"Why are you here travellers?" He says with a low voice, as if hiding his identity. "Any wise person wouldn't walk over to a burning city."

Alistar assists her, moving heavy pieces of rubble aside to clear the way. The sun is coming up, breaking the horizon in a shower of golden light.

(Carcino, that's for later. The Falmer attack later on.)

"Hey look over here! I found a strange arrow!" He said waving the Falmer arrow with a ripped piece
of Arcadia's robe on it around. ( I know its just for like... Er.. A hint or something. )

Emberlynn looks away from the remains of Arcadia's shop, and turns hesitantly toward the hooded figure. She gently places her hand over the hilt of her sword, uncertain.

"We can go where we please." She says simply, surprised at her own boldness. "And besides, we came to help. Or, at least I did..."
