Okay, I was playing my mage character yesterday when I went up against a few Ice Mages. So I fought them like normal, and like normal I got hit by a couple of their spells. Well, I know that the ice spells enemy mages use against your character can cause a slow effect that only lasts for a few seconds. Problem is the slow effect hasn't worn off yet. I've played for a couple hours, real-time, and the effect has still not worn off.

My character is walking extremely slow. It's about the same as being over-encumbered except that holding shift/toggling caps makes my character walk even slower than that. I can still sprint, but the sprint speed is even affected. I'm sprinting a little bit slower than my character can normally walk.

Now before you start trying to help by talking about over encumbrance, the caps lock key, shift and all that let me give you an idea of what I've done so far to try and fix it and all the things pertaining to that.

    • I'm not over-encumbered
    • I've tried multiple character transformations
    • The effect is on this character only, all my others are fine
    • I've deactivated/reactivated all my mods multiple times
    • I've unequipped/re-equipped my armor/weapons in multiple ways
    • Completely removed all items from my inventory
    • Checked for invisible items with player.showinventory
    • also removed all items with player.removeallitems
    • Fought more Ice Mages in the hope that getting hit with the spell again would fix it (it didn't)
    • spammed the caps/shift/alt keys while moving forward
    • changed weapons and sheathed/unsheathed many, many times
    • yelled numerous curse words and insults at the screen in the hopes of scaring the bug away
I've googled and searched this for hours so far with no luck, so I thought I would come on here and try asking for help for a change.

Now, this is my favorite mage character that I've ever made, so I would greatly appreciate any help that you all could offer. Sadly I have no other save games to fall back on for the character, other than one at the very start of the game.

    EDIT

Well, I should have known that as soon as I ask for help I'll figure something out myself.
After posting this I went ahead and loaded my game and spawned like ten or so Ice Wizards. After about ten minutes of just letting them attack/kill me then reloading one of their attacks hit me and un-slowed me.
So, I guess the problem is resolved now.

Glad to hear it all worked out, but hopefully you have learned your lesson to run at least 2-3 backup saves on your character, because no one ever knows when GLITCH will happen to them.
