Quest Boethia's Calling - 'Ebony Mail' Issue

I am doing the 'Boethia's Calling' quest; I slayed everyone @ 'Knifepoint Ridge'; the final objective of the quest is to "Retrieve and equip the Ebony Mail" so Boethia can make you her champion.
So, I collected and equipped: Ebony Mail, Ebony Gauntlets, Ebony Boots, and Ebony Shield.
Nothing has happened so far (Boethia hasn't spoke to me or anything)
Anybody ever heard of this issue or know how to fix it?

Also, when I have all the apparell equipped, and I crouch/sneak--I'm engulfed in a black/smokelike cloak.

the armor is supposed to do that and did you kill EVERYONE in the cave?

Yes, I killed everyone. I am looking at the quest objectives right now and "Slay everyone at Knifepoint Ridge stealthily" is checked off.

Isn't that the quest where you're supposed to slay her previous champion, since he's wearing the mail? Not sure, but if you are wearing the mail, maybe you need to go back to Boethia and then she talks to you. Been a while since I've done that one.

She normally talks to you straight away, once you equip all the ebony stuff and draw weapons (this is my favourite deadric quest) first part of the get batmans stuff mini game i play, it exists only in my head.

However if the armour is emitting black smoke when you crouch and shen you are attaching getting attacked it is working ok and you've just missed the pretentious deadric blurb that comes at the end of all of those quests. By the way the smoke that is emitted poisons an enemy, weaker enemies you can now kill by simply standing near them... Do not brawl while wearing this armour, you will kill them, then everyone attacks you.
