Play time can be deceiving, because I'm pretty sure if you leave the game paused it still counts as time played (so if you, say, leave it on while at work/school or sleeping, those hours count towards playtime - this is how it's possible to have 2500 hours of playtime on a game that's only been out for about 3600 hours).

I'd hate to burst your little bubble but you are WRONG...

With the Xbox 360 when you pause the game it stays paused & the game clock is paused as well, until you started playing again.

So you've seriously had Skyrim on and unpaused for 15 hours a day, every day, since it came out? (Not that I'm saying you're not; there are plenty of reasons to do that even if you're not going to be actively playing it - allowing in-game time to pass for dungeons to respawn, for instance.)

No, I haven't !!

For 13 weeks from 24th November 2011 ( When I first loaded Skyrim ) until 23rd January 2012 I logged just over 1600hrs, which is an average of about 17.58 hrs a day.
Then I slowed down from 23rd January until the 17th April & logged another 700 Hrs, which is an average of 8.24 hrs a day.
In the last week I have slowed to a snail's pace & I have logged 65 hrs, which is an average of 9.28 hrs per day.

Slaying Trolls and taking names.
156 hours played, with three different characters. So I'm not completely addicted. xD

Snail's pace?!? REALLY? My cheetah pace (fast) is about 5 hrs a day! Do you have a job?

I'm not meaning any offense, but I'm shocked . . . a lot.

Oh, well aren't you lucky?

Yea I am lucky, I lucky to be alive, I am lucky that I can still walk, I am lucky that I have full function of my brain....

I know it's hard for some people to accept that a person would game so intensely, especially as they don't really know circumstances surrounding the person.

A little history about me first to make it a little easier for you to comprehend......lol

On the 1st of June 1980, at the age of 16, I had a horiffic farm tractor accident & was told I would never walk again. Now as anyone who has had kids know, when you tell a kid that they can't do something they will do the opposite & that's what I did. I defied the odds & within 2 yrs was playing Soccer & Surfing on the Amateur Circuit.

Late in 1998 I contracted Meningococcal Septicaemia & slipped into a 3 week coma & as a result I had a 5% chance of regaining consciousness & the Doctors had called my Family ( My 1st wife & my 2 little kids ) as well as my parents. Later that day I passed away, I was clinically dead for over 4 min & I knocked on Death's Door, but he wouldn't answer it..lol. Once again I defied the odds & recovered fully.

Then in May 2000, at the age of 36, I turned around suddenly & tore 3 discs in my Lumbar Spine ( L2, L3 & L5 ). I was told by the Specialists that I my discs were degenerating & I would be wheelchair bound by the time I turned 40.

In October 2006 I had a stroke that left me with 50% use of my left arm & I am left handed, so that just made things a little more difficult.

I am now 48 & I am still walking & to deal with the pain I game intensely. Because the pain is in your mind, sure the body may hurt in another area but it's your mind that it is telling what hurts & by gaming I can ignore the pain, I can block out the majority of pain but not all of it.

So now you know why I game so intensely.........

Now I don't want anybody's sympathy save that for someone else because I sure as hell don't need it...

Well. . . you are lucky. I knew a person who died for 15 minutes, but lived. I'm happy that you survived.

will not get sympathy here (not that it is not warranted) but you will get the biggest thumbs up I can give you and I applaud the fight in you and how you choose to deal with the hand that you have been dealt.

Keep gaming strong my friend!!!

80 hours played total - more than I expected, considering I've never really been much of a gamer! (More for lack of opportunity than interest, mind.) Have several characters, including the sulky Breton spellsword you see in my icon (she's my highest levelled - lv16).

I don't see the hours played stat but it says:
Days Passed - 350
Hours slept - 422
Hours waiting - 441
I got this game in early January.

On the Xbox 360 it is written underneath the saved games. Check your save games it should state how long each one is.
