Khajiit-Nord lovechild. Neko, basically.
This can be from any ES game, a fanfic, anything.
I love how creative people can get and I enjoy hearing about their characters. So tell me about yours!
(if you're working on a fanfic let me know, i'd love to read it.)

To get things started, i'll put mine up. (sorry if it's not in alignment with lore, or anything like that.)
  • Name: Mik'aal "Mikael" Ah-Sahvardi
  • Race: Nord/Khajiit sexchild. Nord with Khajiit ears, tail, and retractable claws.
  • Features: long black hair swept back with a braided ponytail on the back of his head, Deep brown eyes with a silver sheen, tall-ish (an inch or two shorter than a high elf) medium muscular build, scratch scars on his face, black fur for the ears and tail.
  • Faction: Bandit, Hunter
  • Personality: Usually jovial and fun but gets serious when the time demands it
  • Fight or Flight?: Tries to negotiate before conflict
  • Class: Spellsword, Thief, Archer.
  • Friends: Anyone who doesn't try to kill him
  • Age 34
  • Birthsign: The Lady, born during Heartfire.
  • Backstory: Born to Jo'kurr and Medni Ah-Sahvardi, traveled around Tamriel with his parents in a Trade Caravan since birth. Got into trouble a few times as a young boy, accidentally killed a few people while practicing with destruction magic. When he was around 12 years of age, settled down in Cyrodiil with his parents in the Imperial City. Left home for Skyrim at age of 18, stayed with his cousins who lived in Kynesgrove until 20, when he left on his own. Was treated as a pariah because of his looks all his life. Currently runs with a bandit clan as their chief, calling themselves the North Wind, entangled in a conflict between other bandit clans and hated around Skyrim's cities for various crimes he and his clan have committed.

General Charles Xander

General of the 11th Imperial Legion
Trademark: Highly experienced warrior.
Backstory: Dalton Charles Xander was born and raised in Cyrodiil as an only child to a proud mother and father. Dalton's life was happy aside from his father rarely being home. His mother however was a housewife and raised him proudly. The times his father was home, he taught him how to fight and to kill. His father warned him that one day, he will need to take a life. He sat with his father on a hill outside the Imperial City carrying a case. After a quite talk, his father opened the case to reveal a thin, long, glowing red sword. His father told him that his grandfather weilded this sword as a member of The Blades. He told him that this blade recognizes his families blood and "chooses" to be owned only by them. His father gave him the blade. That is when his life took a turn.

The Great War had started and the Empire had been taken by surprise. Years of conflict took place, but the Empire was clearly being overtaken. Dalton realized this and immediately went to enlist himself. His father was stationed in the city and disapproved of Dalton's enlistment. Quickly setting his emotion aside, his father finally allowed his son to become a soldier. It was to late however, as Dalton finally equipped his armor, the Thalmor had begun to siege the city. The Emperors evacuation had taken place and Dalton decided to follow the Blades escorting him. He managed to regroup with his father and the rest of the 8th Legion. When it was time to go, the gates opened and the fighting begun. The 8th was being demolished and the numbers thining quickly. Dalton managed to kill a few, but without much combat training and experience, he didn't stand much of a chance. Dalton was run through by an Aldmeri soldier. Just before he was about to be finished, his Father slew the Elf. His father glanced at his bleeding son for but a moment, until he received two arrows in the chest. Dalton watched his father fall and die. Shocked at the events that have taken place, he stared into nothingness until he realized someone was trying to heal him. He looked up to see an Imperial Healer tending to him. The healer not fully finished, brought Dalton to his feet and tried to retreat. While limping away, Dalton fell. He looked up to see that his healer had been impaled through the throat by an ice spike. Dalton unable to move, looked forward to see the Emperor himself looking at him with defeated and torturing disbelief in his eyes. Before the Emperor could do anything, his Bodygaurds moved him and pushed him along. Dalton's vision was blurred and he slipped into darkness.

He woke up in the dense cool of night. Looking around he saw only bodies and blood. In the distance, he could see the city burning. Dalton managed to turn over and see his father. As cold as ice, his father still warmed his heart but left only sorrow. He crawled to his dad and said his goodbye's. He took his fathers sword, and limped off to follow the others. For hours he walked, limped, crawled his way to the camp. When he arrived, he collapsed of exhaustion and the Emperors bodyguards took him to be healed. The next day, he was called up by the Emmperor and promoted to Legate. Dalton refused, but was given it anyway. When the Day came to take back the city, he was ready. He was stationed with the 11th Legion and when the battle of Red Ring had finally been won, he knew he had his revenge. He had been promoted to General and set in charge of the 11th Legion where he is stationed today.

Bloodbane: Bloodbane is one of the two sister blade swords in Xander's arsenal. It was given to him by his father Cornelius Xander and also Ulfgerd Xander before him. At the moment not much of Bloodbane's history is known, but it is rumored that it was blessed or cursed via the death of a master vampire and was cooled from its fiery enchantment at the throat of the world, resulting in a blood chilling effect on the blade.
Effects: Absorb Health and ice damage.

Windscourge: Windscourge's history is just as mysterious as her sisters, but they do share a similar past. Taken from his fallen father during the Great War, it is known to make the target fatigue as well as provide an electrical shock through the targets nerves.
Effects: Absorb Stamina and electrical damage.

Sahiel: Sahiel's origin was completely burned and destroyed in the sacking of the Imperial city. It was obtained and given to General Dalton Xander as compensation for his participation in the Great War. Most of its abilities are somewhat mysterious, however there have been some recording's of its abilities. One of the powers seems to barricade the user or a certain area for a prolonged amount of time. Another ability it seems to have is to be able to repel most spells or powers from other beings and keeping the user safe from harm. It's final known ability is to be able to self combust in a blue fiery explosion up to 60 feet wide. Anything within the area of explosion seems to dissipate immediately. This however is the result of pushing Sahiel to it's near maximum power. These are just a few of the known abilities that it has. Future recordings are currently being analyzed. Unfortunately these abilities appear to come at a cost. With each prolonged ability activated the cross seems to lose power overtime. When the power of the cross is fully drained, it's central soul gem must be replaced otherwise it is rendered useless.

Volon: Volon is a golden crossbow forged at the sky forge in Whiterun. It is the gilded version of the standard issue weapon given in the Imperial Army. However it seems to have more force and power than other typical cross bows. It also seems to have an electrical shock ability added to each bolt.

Snowstagger: Snowstagger was given to General Dalton Xander by the family of a medic that once tried to save his life during the great war, for sending his condolences. Snowstagger was forged from Dwarvin metal ingots in the cold city of Windhelm in EastMarch.

Prolium: Prolium is a steel greatsword that Xander rarely uses, however it is on his person. It has the ability to inflict scalding heat on to a foe.

General Dalton Xander is not a skilled battle mage, however he is moderate in using ice magic.

Note: it should be known of Xander's helmet enchantment that allows him to breath perfectly in any situation.

Mistress of Shadows
My all-time favourite Character is Wyldfyre. She is in the banner below. You can see her CC and also read my Fanfic by clicking on the relevant links. (if you like FF, then you are in for a LOONG read with mine :D )

She's a very ballsy red-head from the mountainous regions of Skyrim. I can't say much more without revealing too many secrets. I am quite proud of my FF though, so I do hope you enjoy reading it, you know, if you want.. :p

My Nord warrior/"paladin" character:
  • Name: Jayrmir Helmbolg
  • Skillset: Two handed, Heavy Armor, Smithing, Archery, Restoration, Speech
  • Bio: He was a farmer before he became a mercenary soldier. His skill in battle helped people with bandits and other infidels. One day, he went to a temple and found a love of healing magic. He started his own company based off of helping people, and using the money to fund the company's supplies and training the men, using whatever they get off the enemies in terms of weapons to outfit the troops. One of his company was a Bosmer archer named Sidra. After the company fell apart, he left Cyrodiil for his father's homeland of Skyrim.
And my Bosmer "nightblade (which is actually just a regular assassin with minor illusion skills)":
  • Name: Sidra Fernbrook (not her real name)
  • Skill set: Archery, Light Armor, Sneak, One handed, Illusiom, Alchemy
  • Bio: Sidra was born lady Ulandra, the youngest child of the Royal Family of Valenwood. Being a princess, she had to learn some form of magic, so decided to learn the subtle art of illusion. She decided to become an assassin with the Emerald Wraiths, the royal family's 'throat cutters' She ended up getting into fights with the Thalmor representatives and had to flee to the Empire. She spent the last few years as a mercenary before escaping to skyrim, in hopes of remaining out of the sight of the Thalmor.

Ah! But what IS he? I'm assuming he's not a Nord with a name like Zen Yi. I'm picturing a khajit or an argonian.
Just wondering. :)

Cool! But my Nords are almost always stealthy, of course, so are my Bretons, Imperials, Khajit, Argonians, Orcs, Altmer, Bosmer and Dunmer. I think I must use stealth too much. :)

I have seven of these fools up and running. But I'll just give you guys the one I'm currently playing (and having a blast with) at the moment:

Name: Renard Thibault
Gender: Male
Race: Breton
Features: Brown medium-length hair, hazel eyes, neatly trimmed facial hair, medium build.
Faction: Imperial Legion, College of Winterhold.
Personality: Largely quiet and introverted, but has a massive soft spot for affection and loyalty, which is reserved for those who earn his trust.
Fight or Flight?: Depends on the circumstance; usually the latter.
Class: Battlemage
Friends: Anyone who isn't a Stormcloak.
Age: 36
Birthsign: The Apprentice. His racial blood and Alteration perks allows him to shrug off some of magical vulnerability provided by the Apprentice Stone.
Major Skills: Enchanting, Heavy Armor, Destruction, Conjuration
Minor Skills: Smithing, Alteration, Restoration
Passive Skill: One-Handed
Battle Style: Rather than using melee-oriented perks, Renard opts to use powerful enchantments as a conduit for enhancing his sword's effectiveness in combat. This allows for greater focus on the school of magic. Otherwise, he's your typical battlemage build - sword in the right hand, vast array of different spells in the left.
Alignment: Neutral Good

If all of you don't mind, I shall include those who have posted up your characters, in my Fanfic (currently on chapter 24 of Act 1 written on paper as a hard copy so i can start somewhere). Either as minor passerby who gets in a conversation or a full role as a travel or battle companion for a chapter or two. Thanks to all who've posted up their characters and fanfics, I appreciate the creativity! This is why I love this forum: I can geek out and revel with the fellow ES fans instead of being shot down by friends and others who think it's "over". But, I'm getting off topic, thanks again to everyone, Keep up on the character flow and i will see about getting my fanfic posted ASAP.

May your roads lead you to glorious battle, brothers and sisters.

You have my permission to use Renard. I haven't written him into anything myself. I trust you won't butcher him too badly? ;)

Honestly, I am unsure about giving permission for my skyrim characters.

Thanks Nocte! And for anybody else who's fearful of butchering or anything, don't worry, I wont butcher them at all. They'll just have little conversations or run-ins with Mikael and the North Wind Clan. And Keep up the good work shadowkitty! Absolutely love, love, love the FF!

I am honestly just thinking I may not keep the characters, so giving permission for them is pointless.

I give full permission for you to use Zen Yi and if you want anything about his character check our my new fanfic it's a diary based story of Zen Yi it gives backstory how he got captured and what he is doing since Helgen ^.^ hope it helps you understand and I will put this it's 18+ rated due to high use of foul language

Nice, thanks LuChao. I like the fanfic, the diary perspective, happenings of tragedy and the full-blown hatred for the empire really brings it all together.

Kohlar the Unkilled

Time for some ale
Greetings. :beermug:

Feel free to use one or both of these characters in you tales. They don't have developed back stories. Here's a little about them.

Malkjar the Malignant:

Male Nord warrior. He'll pursue with fervent tenacity, any and all that get on his bad side, hence the "Malignant." Terrifying to look upon, he's actually good natured and (mostly) law-abiding. In many ways, he's a typical Nord warrior, yet after liberating the Skaal, Malkjar feel in love with their land and life-style. After mastering the secret art of stalhrim forging, he made a complete set of heavy armor, an axe for his left hand, and a sword for his right. Malkjar is a master of heavy armor, duel wielding, and enchanting. He's happily married to Sylgja, who lives with him in his home in Windhelm. Having achieved legendary status in Skyrim, Malkjar spends most of his time conducting business with merchants and Jarls, amassing his fortune. Yet when civilized life gets too dull, as occasionally it's known to do, there are always bandits to fight.

The second and perhaps more interesting is called Dredresa Galadra. Female Dunmer who through fated circumstance became Archmage of the College of Winterhold shortly after her arrival in Skyrim. After learning of her Dragonborn nature, the young Galadra sought knowledge of the past, started wearing Dragon Priest masks, and eventually started her own dragon-based religion. She claims the Jagged Crown as rightfully hers. She is a master of destruction, conjuration, and enchanting. The only physical weapon she uses is Galadra's Fang, a Dragon Priest dagger enchanted with terrifying power. The weapons and armor she makes are all named after her, and will become heirlooms of the Galadra bloodline. What makes this character even more interesting is that fact that I'm currently pursuing an "ancestry" playthrough of Morrowind, as her ancester Greloth Galadra. After Morrowind, the bloodline will continue into Oblivion, where a different Galadra ancester will come to power. I don't currently have a picture of her unmasked.

I'll post about my first Skyrim character (who's probably my favorite that I've created)

-Name: Buffington Battle-Born

-Race: Imperial

-Features and style: He has black hair, and usually shaves his head hair and facial hair very short, though he sometimes has different hairstyles. Since he's always getting work done at the face changer in Riften, not many people remember what eye color he was born with, but he currently has light blue eyes. Though when he has his face worked on, he never seems to want his scars removed because he likes to think of them as battle trophies. When he's not wearing his enchanted Daedric armor or his mage robes, Buffington is usually wearing something fancy to show off his and his family's wealth.

-Faction: Buffington has quite a few jobs; he's a thief, a trained assassin, a soldier of the Imperial legion, and a dragon slayer.

-Personality: If you get on his good side, Buffington's a polite friend with a great sense of humor. If you get on his bad side, he's a dangerous psychopath that will have his revenge on you in the cruelest way he can. He's known to be very unpredictable and bipolar; this is possibly due to the fact that his best friend is the Daedric Prince of Madness. Sometimes he seems to have a pretty big ego, considering he's basically a celebrity in Skyrim. Half of Tamriel nearly worships him for saving the world on multiple occasions, but the other half wants him dead for his villanous methods and the fact that he's a borderline psychopath with too much power. But they're very right about him having too much power. He has more money than he can spend, he's a master in many forms of combat and martial arts, an arch-mage, and a genius with military tactics. If I lived in Tamriel, I'd want him dead, too. It's not a matter of if he'll lose control, it's a matter of when

-Fight or Flight?: He'll try to convince you to stay away from him, but he's eager to kill.

-Class: Spellsword/mage

-Friends: Sheogorath, Odahviing, his wife Aela, his family in the Batlle-Born clan, and Calder, his housecarl from Windhelm.

-Age: 18 during the main questline, 38 during the fan-fiction I'm working on

-Birthsign: The Steed

-Backstory: Buffington's biological parents were rebels against the Thalmor and lived in Anvil. Buffington was born sometime during 4E 183 in Whiterun. A few years earlier, they moved there because the Thalmor were after them. But when Buffington was only about two years old, the Thalmor caught up to his parents and assassinated them. A guard in the city saw him crying on the side of the road, and sent him to the orphanage in Riften, hoping he'd have a good home. But he didn't He was abused both verbally and physically by the head of the orphanage named Grelod the Kind. Eventually, Oldfrid Battle-Born and his wife went to the orphanage and adopted Buffington, bringing him into the family's clan: the Battle-Borns. Olfrid gave him a name, Buffington, because he didn't know what his original parents named him. Buffington was very happy living in Whiterum. His new parents were fair to him, and the Battle-Borns were rich. When he was 13, he had the chance to go on adventures with his brothers, and visited all of the hold capitals in Skyrim. When he was in Windhelm, he met the Jarl named Ulfric Stormcloak. He hated the Thalmor just like Buffington and was starting a rebellion against the Thalmor-controlled Empire. He and Buffington had a lot in common, and Ulfric became his mentor. Buffington wanted to join his cause back then, but when he was old enough to join, he realized that the Stormcloak Rebellion wouldn't help Skyrim at all. When he was 18, Buffington moved out of Whiterun and started adventuring and looting on his own. One day, he was adventuring near the border to Cyrodiil. He ran into Ulfric and some of his rebels, who were trying to cross the border. Buffington figured he'd put his differences with the rebellion aside and go on an adventure with his old friend. But before they were able to cross, they were stopped by Imperials and taken to Helgen to be executed. Buffinton was sure this was his fate. However, before they were able to behead him and Ulfric, a dragon appeared in the sky and attacked the city. Little did he know then that he would be the one to save Skyrim from the winged beasts. Buffington went on to join the Imperial Legion after he escaped the city. He was upset that he had to fight his friend's cause, but it had to be done to keep the Empire strong. During the war, he fought a dragon and realized that he was able to absorb its soul. This meant he was the Dragonborn, and that he was destined to save the world. He never expected such a burden to be put onto him. But there was no turning back from this; if he didn't fight the dragons, his home would be destroyed.
