    It is the Final Nights, summer of 2016 within the city of Los Angeles, and every Kindred can feel an uneasiness in the air. An Antediluvian has awoken.. an ancient vampire that predates the Great Flood. If the stories are true about Gehenna - the vampire's version of the apocalypse - then this Antediluvian will soon begin to devour the blood of us all. Even others such as the werewolves, and especially any human, won't be safe from their path of destruction. So there is only one choice left... to fight or die.
    ~~~~~~
    The world we know is filled with secret societies and supernatural beings that share the night with us, and yet they are considered little more than myths and legends... why? Because of the Masquerade - a "common sense" law applied to Kindred and non Kindred alike to keep their identities secret so as not to endanger themselves and reveal their presence to kine - mortals.
    You will take the role of one of these supernatural creatures (Vampire, Werewolf, or a Human(Mage or Hunter)) and the story will slowly shift from your every day(or night) lives into a world of destruction and carnage. As a World of Darkness setting it is expected of violence, gore, explicit language, the topics of drugs, alcohol, and possibly what some might consider 'rape' via the supernatural beings forcing themselves upon their victims to feed. (Do try to keep it clean and don't go overboard).
    For setting details please refer to the OOC thread (as well as any OOC topics or conversations will be taken there): {18+} It's The End Times (A World of Darkness RP)
    The character sheet is also included in the above thread, and would like to have all character submissions in that thread only; THIS thread will only include roleplay posts -only- thank you.
    ---Common Rules---
    1. Preferably no PvP as this RP was setup for a common goal, but should there be a fight between RPers, then try to work out the details with each other OOCly before hand so you have a clear understanding of what will happen; as usual do not manipulate each other's characters, if they get hit, they will state so; no god modding, etc.
      EXCEPTION: The Antediluvian (who will also be RP'd by me (in the light green text) when necessary. These ancients have god-like power and are tough as pl*** to take down, but I will judge fairly -When- we get into battle with it. What attacks will have effects, and what won't even phase it, etc (I'll do my own research on that part); until then though, RP any other normal night. Plot will progress occasional.
    2. Follow "The Masquerade" even though there's an Antediluvian on the loose, maintain vampire society's secrets secret, or the laws still obey and if you break the code then other vampires will have the right to hunt you down (and hunters if they catch whiff of your trail).
    3. Werewolves tend to keep to themselves out in the wilderness (country, forests, etc) outside of cities while the vampires usually keep to the cities. This has been the way of things for a long time and despite them being enemies, they usually don't break this pact unless absolute necessary for whatever reason.
      -- For the sake of the RP, any werewolf player who has made an accord with the Prince of the city and has permission to enter (and hunt) can be allowed in; and as long as they don't attack any vampire (no matter how bad they want to) then no vampire is allowed to touch them... except I'm sure the Sabbat don't care. That group does whatever they want anyways
    4. Post Once a Week (minimum): I understand people have lives (even I do!) so there can of course be really active times when we're able to post multiple times a day, or just 1/day, or 1 every couple days, but at minimum try to post once a week to maintain your active status
    5. For Vampires -- Your Generation cannot exceed 10th, which don't necessarily dictate age but in a general sense (see the OOC thread on Generations) 10th and 11th Generations were in the 1400-1600s so if you want to be a vampire from that time period you can use 10th/11th generation.
      -- and by "exceed" I mean you can't go lower in number (9th, 8th, 7th) as each generation is how far you're separated from Caine. 14th and 15th Generation are not recommended as those are the "thin-bloods" essentially no more than human vampires - ThinBlood
    6. Understand I originally only meant for vampires to be played, so if you are playing anything else (Werewolf, Human(mage or hunter), then you are responsible for doing your own research - I have provided a few links to help, but there may be some information not included in the wiki such as the Werewolves' 'GIFTS' which are similar to a vampire's "DISCIPLINES", and therefore you may have to reach out further and grab a PDF of the appropriate rulebooks (ie Werewolf: The Apocalypse)
    ---The First Post---
    The sun had just set over the city. The hustle and bustle of the mortals within it had no clue what had just transpired. With the grinding of stone on stone the sarcophagus opened, and out came a gnarled claw-like hand that had withered and decayed with time. The corpse lifted itself weakly out of the sarcophagus, a dried husk of bones and dust with clinging withered flesh. It moved across the warehouse wobbling back and forth like a drunkard just leaving a bar after a good night of several rounds of drinks. Only it wasn't drunk... yet. It felt the thirst as any Kindred, the Beast that dwells within was aching to be let loose and feast!
    A sound of a door opening brought the creature's attention toward it, and the mortal security guard that walked through it. The kindred moved through the large metal shelves holding up various containers and crates filled with who knows what; the creature didn't care. The world went red, and soon it dashed toward its victim with fangs extended, claws outstretched and the scream of the guard that followed.
    ~~~~~~
    Vanessa woke up before the sun finished setting over the horizon, and she got out of bed and performed her usual dusk rituals of shower, change, and 'breakfast'. Of course... she wasn't human anymore, and even after 28 years after her Embrace - the act that transforms a mortal into a vampire - she still couldn't get used to it. She took a bloodpack from the fridge and drank it as anyone would from a Capris Sun juice drink.

    She could still remember that day when she met Lucian, her sire, and they went around town causing mischief, being the deviants that they were. When they became 'close' she also realized that something was wrong with him. He had a certain desire, a sadistic desire, to hurt others and himself, but with her he was always gentle and sweet. On the day of her Embrace, she remembered his skin was as cold as ice but it was just over 30C degrees out that night. The next thing she knew the world had gone white, and she woke up with an insatiable hunger that she couldn't fill. There was no sign of him.

    Vanessa had to learn the hard way that she needed blood to complete the change. That she had been made a vampire, but why? Why did her sire abandon her all those years ago, and where was he now? There were days when she would black out and be somewhere else hours, if not days, later unable to remember where she had gone or what she had did. Apparently she was sired by a Malkavian, a vampire clan with an incurable insanity. She later found out through the Malkavian Primogen - a 'head' figure of sorts that represent the clan's interest to the 'Prince' of the city; she found out that her insanity was: Dissociative Identity Disorder - or multiple personalities.

    The primogen found it quite entertaining that her other personality believed herself to be "Caine" in disguise, and could strangely recall and tell the tail of how she killed her brother Abel, learned her power from Lilith before she spurned her and walked the earth. This of course didn't prove she was who she thought she was, some of these stories were well known, as well as he knew above all that Malkavians did possess a sort of "insight" that allowed them to see what others could not. He concluded that it was this insight that gave this information to her alternate personality.

    What was unfortunate; however, was that her alternate personality had a desire for blood unlike any other.. Kindred blood. Her other self would attempt to Diablerize - an act that drains the blood (and soul) of another Kindred, often of higher generations would make the Diablerist more powerful - any who she could get her claws on.

    ~~~~~~
    Vanessa left her apartment to go downtown, she had received a note from a mysterious 'friend' and emotions flared up inside her; wondering if it was her sire Lucian finally coming back... or if it was someone else entirely. She would just have to wait and see.
    << Left open if someone wanted to be her sire, or if anyone else wanted to be the Mysterious 'Friend', or if none of the above, then I can think of something later ^_^ >>
    Garr prowled the shadows of the iron jungle of LA, pausing every so often to smell for anything that could cause trouble before he continued. He had long ago given his freedom to the Princess, and in exchange was given full access to the entire city. For five years he'd been her bodyguard. Her slave. Her... pet. But for the past year or so, he had been relinquished, given freedom once again. He could come and go as he pleased, and no vampire in the city could touch him, for fear of bringing the Princess's wrath upon their head.
    "You're no better than a gutter rat, Garr," she'd said to him, "But so long as you are my gutter rat, no one shall touch you."
    It felt like only yesterday that she'd allowed him to leave. After poking around his head, she'd cast a spell to bind his mind to her, so if she ever called for help, he was forced to return. Even though he couldn't vent his pent-up rage on vampires he chanced upon, every breath he now took tasted sweeter, every bite of flesh he swallowed filled him more. It was a good trade, he felt. He could even snoop about the local haunts that only vampires tread.
    As Garr rounded a corner, he stopped short. He could smell the musk of something unnatural, and it could only be a vampire. After a few moments, Garr caught sight of a lone figure slipping through the shadows like a cat, heading for one of the slums of the city. With a moment of hesitation, Garr followed, slinking between buildings and keeping his senses trained on the vampire.
    The vampire stopped beside an old fountain, grimy and silent, and seemed to be waiting for someone. As it looked around, the evening light revealed her face, and Garr recognized the woman to be Vanessa, a Malkavian who Garr had been tasked with following several years prior.
    Curiosity got the best of Garr, and he lay down to wait and watch what would unfold, hiding himself as he forgot his previous hunt and gained a new one.
    Jin growled as he looked through his notes, making sure his coat didn’t open enough to reveal the two pistols holstered there. Los Angeles was already a hotbed of activity for supernaturals. The large population was perfect to hide any and every kind of monster, human or not. He heard through the hotbed of rumors that there was a meeting going down tonight. He was told it would be two Hemophages meeting at a local park, and the old soldier senses kicked in. Others were being told to avoid that area tonight, Jin reflected on that part of the message. It was likely a social visit but only two meant that they were confident in their abilities or had a trick up their sleeves. He wished he could have requested more ordinance as he looked at his bed home to pistols, grenades, pepper spray, and a few other items that were never very useful until they were.
    Making his way through the streets, Jin almost wished for a smoke. He was told to quit when it was revealed that the stench would threaten his life. A bad run in with a werewolf made sure he never forgot it. The streets were busy, but the park seemed empty. Even among the dingy lights, the hunter wore his sunglasses. Luckily they were surprisingly complex, going as far as to let Jin see normally even with them on at night. He often pretended to be blind, just in case people questioned him. As he approached the slums, his mind went to work. Calculating as many of the variables as he could.
    Licking his finger, Jin felt for where a slight breeze was coming from. Glancing at his compass watch, he saw it was coming from the southeast, so he made his way to the northwest to start his sweep. With careful precision, Jin began to walk through the tight spaces, avoiding people but looking for anything out of the ordinary. Pulling out his M1911 inside his jacket, Jin pulls back the slide to see which round he has loaded, seeing tell tale marks for compounds. Jin considered switching to Hods. They said Hemophages, but they don’t know for sure.
    As Jin progressed farther along he could help but notice the woman by a fountain. At first glance, he assumed she was a normal human, but Jin had long since learned never to assume. Best case scenario, she's just a girl in a slum. Worst case... Jin shuddered to think of it. Staying out of sight, Jin peered around the area. Something was ticking in the back of his head, and he worried something was watching him, but he couldn't spy them. Jin prepped his High Frequency Emitter, in case he needed to make a break for it.
    Having left her apartment, on the way to her secret rendezvous, Vanessa could feel a slight presence from time to time. A presence of a stalker. It was hard to tell if the stalker was hostile or just another Camarilla dog there to watch over her to make sure her 'other' side didn't come out to play and break the Masquerade. She waited by the fountain where the note said to meet her. Time dragged on and she was starting to get impatient, about ready to leave. As she began to turn, she heard a voice call to her from one of the shadows of a nearby building.
    "I see you got my note." A man came out of the shadows dressed in a black business suit with a red tie. The man was bald, but two tribal tattoos were etched from the back of his neck and came up over and then down past his eyes, stopping to form two "fang" like tips on the inner portion of his cheeks.
    She nodded, turning back around to face the man who she didn't recognize. Remembering the content of the letter, speaking about a strange vibe in the air, an uneasiness that most kindred have been feeling for the past couple of nights.
    "I'll get right to it then. Last night there was a murder at a Sabbat warehouse, and normally that wouldn't be counted as strange; however, all the guards and kindred at that warehouse were all drained of blood. Most likely diablerized as all the kindred's bodies were ashes or piles of mush." The man pulled out a cigarette and lighter, taking a puff more out of a habbit from his mortal days. As a vampire, it wouldn't do anything to him now. Putting the lighter away he looked back to Vanessa and continued.
    "My first task was to investigate, see if possibly-"
    "Possibly what? That I did it?" Vanessa crossed her arms and looked at him sternly, a little angry that they would treat her like a child in this manner... although it did cross her mind that 56 years is still pretty much a child in there eyes.
    "It's not entirely out of the realm of possibility. Since it was of Sabbat interest, it would be less suspicious if you managed to accomplish such a feat, but in the end no. It turned out to be something much worse. The manifest stated a sarcophagus was brought in about two weeks ago engraved with Sumerian designs...
    "On the top, it looked like someone carved 'anzillu' which was Sumerian for 'something abominable'. In short... we believe an Antediluvian is loose in the city."
    "...and just having breakfast, they might now be looking for lunch..." Vanessa stated blankly with her mouth wide open in shock and awe.
    "Exactly. I don't exactly like coming to you Malkavians for obvious reasons, but our Tremere Primogen want us to see if you lot can use your Insight to help us find this Antediluvian. No doubt there will be other kindred in the city who will want to commit Diablerie to gain status and power, but we just want to stop it from killing us instead. So - " The man reaches in his jacket and pulls out a business card and hands it to Vanessa who stares at him blankly.
    "If you find anything, get any visions or whatever you lot do or see, contact me as soon as you can. This is of course of all of our speculations are true. Even if it happens to just be an Elder coming out of their Torpor to play, then we still would like to know about it."
    "But what if I have que-" Her words were cut off as she looked up from the card to find that the man had vanished into thin air. Probably a form of Obfuscation power - a power of invisibility and deception. She clicked her tongue in annoyance and sighed. Putting the card away in an inner pocket of her jacket, she turned around to leave once more..
    Garr was taken by surprise as a bald man strode out of the shadows from a nearby alley, nearly causing Garr to jump. Somehow the man had eluded Garr's senses, masking even the musk of his vampiric body. He was no base creature, certainly.
    "I see you got my note," the bald man said, catching Vanessa's attention.
    _____________________________________________________
    As the odorless vampire vanished, Garr considered waiting some more. On one hand, he could try to catch Vanessa off guard. On the other hand, he might lose his chance to speak with Vanessa if she decided to leave in a hurry. Deciding not to risk the loss of a potential asset Garr shifted out of the shadows. As he was beginning to move, Garr tasted the wind as it changed, and almost stopped short.
    Oooh, he thought, clever man.
    Lurching to his feet, Garr strode into the moonlight and waited to see who would make the first move.
    Jin was writing as quietly as he could, taking pictures that if he had to guess would be fuzzy at best. In his notes every detail of the meeting was recording as well as he could see. He wished he had a listening device, but chastised himself over thinking of this in terms of human engagement. Creatures could potentially hear the tuning static and put him at an even greater disadvantage. As the new comer took a smoke, likely out of habit, Jin crept closer trying to stay out of direct line of sight. When the darkness means nothing to his adversary, Jin knew he would have to rely on minimal exposure.
    Fragments, Jin cursed as he scribbled down any bits of words he could make out with lip reading. Diablerized, sarcophagus, anzillu, and antediluvian. Nothing especially meaningful to the hunter, but maybe some of the boys back home could dig up the information. Looks like I have to call home base, Jin mentally groaned. See what the hell this mess is, while I am at it order more equipment. Jin put away his notepad for now, wishing he could get closer. As the bald man with tattoos dissipated in thin air, he was happy he settled for lip reading from a distance.
    As Jin planned to make his escape, a large wolf emerged into the moonlight. It was barely noticeable, but Jin felt a slight breeze on his neck and hair. Jin cursed his luck, be it a thrall, familiar, or god forbid a lycan. Jin did not have time for this. It was just outside the easy effective range of his guns too, and he had to now assume it was aware of him. Two guns and a prepped High Frequency emitter did not give Jin much confidence in this encounter.
    Adjusting his shooting braces and the attached leather gloves, Jin stayed against the alley wall. Slipping out his phone, and entering an undisclosed number. His message had a simple cypher but he didn’t have time to give a complex message: ID kMown U whoreS A Slut H I saw your LY CANt believe HE is whoM yOu chose 2 fluff. Choke on a dick FLESHEATER ill up the ANTE Don’t you worrI ilL show U VIviAN vanhalLAh awaits.
    Looked like a drunk text, but it would have to do, Jin put his phone away and unbuttoned his jacket. He prayed it would not come to blows, because he would lose. Taking a deep breath, he pushed himself off the wall. I don’t have any badges nor anything looking remotely official, Jin sighed hoping that his sonic emitter could give him crucial seconds. It was a good thing Jin was trained as a member of Project Twilight, meaning he was taught how to infiltrate potential ExNorm groups as necessary.
    Jin called out into the night, glancing at the wolf around the corner then at the woman. He set the HFE down by his foot and kick the sonic grenade if he really had to. All he had to do was release the pressure on the button and then he had a few seconds before the crippling sound would be wreaking havoc on any supernaturally enhanced hearing. He was gambling with his life and he would not do so lightly. So he chose his positioning with the utmost care. The obscuring wall would allow him an extra mode of attack as they would not be able to see his movements until it was too late. Or so was the plan.
    “I hope you don’t mind my rudeness; I would like to talk,"
    Jin moved his hands to his should holsters. "Let's keep it casual at first. So, pretty lady. Is that cute dog with you?”
    Cute dog, my ass, Garr thought. He'd been waiting to catch sight of the human, and had watched as the would-be hunter pushed off from the wall. Catching the glint of light on metal, Garr eyed whatever it was he set down warily. Nothing shiny that was carefully placed was ever a good thing.
    Still, the man had no idea of what Garr was. Time for some fun! He yipped happily, and forced his eyes to glaze over, letting his tongue loll out as Garr panted at Vanessa. What was it those pathetic dogs do? Oh yeah... Closing his mouth, Garr perked his ears forward and tilted his head to the side, sealing the impression and staring straight at Vanessa.
    Your move, psycho vamp, he thought, almost trying to project the thoughts to the vampire.
    Vanessa turned around, and there was a rustling sound which startled her. Out of the bushes came a big black dog out at night all alone? Something told her it wasn't what it appeared to be, and she activated her Auspex Discipline revealing the aura of the creature...
    A lupin? The fact it's not attacking at sight must mean he's here by the Princess's permission.. she thought.
    Her focus was interrupted with the the familiar presence of that 'stalker' she sensed earlier, and turned to the sound of his voice.
    -------
    This was definitely unexpected, more than she thought she'd face in one night. Kill them.. kill them both... drink their blood and bathe in the ecstasy! She closed her eyes and brought her hands up to rub her temples, with the headache the voices bring. She knew it wouldn't be long before her 'other' side came out.
    "
    Yes?" She half asked and answered uncertainly. She gave the hunter a half cocked grin. "Who are you and what do you want? If you wanted to kill me, I'm sure you would've gone into some 'for the glory of God' speech and begin attacking, so you must want something else?"
    “He looks so healthy, Jin ignoring her comments at first not moving to draw his guns. And only started acting like a dog when I referred to him as such. “But I was just worried, Los Angeles at night is no place for a woman such as yourself to be out alone.”
    With the arrangement of the buildings would have favored him against a regular person, Jin himself had no such illusions of the possible reality of the situation. It just introduced verticality. The Tremere was either long gone or just watching, and it did not mean there was not another hemophage out there in the dark. I hate variables… Reminds me too much of computer science classes.
    “Since you want to get down to business, you talk of religious speeches. That is not of particular interest to me. If you must know I was in the area, and thought it was strange. But maybe… Just maybe, we can help each other. So, let me ask again. As he does not seem feral, is the wolf with you? If what we are discussing is sensitive, I would rather not have it howled to the moon and god, heh I guess he is partially of interest, knows who.”
    Jin couldn’t help but smirk at his stupid joke.
    Garr didn't want to give up the charade, but he didn't trust Vanessa enough to play along, nor did he trust her to leave him be if he sat near her like a dutiful dog. Instead, he pitched his ears back, feigned hearing a sound, and dashed into the shadows. As he disappeared from the hunter's sight, Garr doubled around, silently positioning himself to watch both of them.
    As he stood still, Garr felt the shadows envelope him, and he welcomed the cover. Let's see what happens now...
    The wolf took off before she gave her answer, but that didn't matter. No doubt the hunter overheard their conversation and he probably had questions. As the wolf moved out of sight, it began to fade from her senses; all but its Aura. If she had been one of the other clans that did not posses the Auspex Discipline, she would've been completely oblivious to the wolf. Clever trick... she thought.
    The world began to grow dark, darker than the blackest night. There was the sound of laughter.. the voices.. They were laughing at her?
    It was a bit funny. Ha ha.. ha ha ha ha! Her head tilted as she gave the hunter a creepy grin with a demeanor that was completely different than before.
    She put one hand on her hip all the meanwhile keeping the creepy grin, her fangs easily recognizable and her eyes glinted an unnatural yellow glow that would send chills down any normal mortal's spine.
    "The moon will not listen to secrets tonight, hunter. What tales do you wish to discuss with this spider?" Surely the hunter could tell something was off. Had he any knowledge of vampire clans, hers would be evident surely by now. Whether he knew or not was not needed to see the hunger in her eyes.
    To continue speaking would be best to keep her distracted at this stage; however, even she was not foolish to just attack a hunter. No doubt he was prepared for something if he openly confronted a kindred in the dead of night. She waited for an answer to see where this would lead... to a nice tasty juicy fly perhaps? She hoped.
    “The absence of evidence is not the evidence of absence…” Jin sighed to himself. There was the Malkavian insanity in play. This would not be good, bad enough I have to try and talk to a vampire it is completely insane. Jin mentally went through the protocol, not enjoying having to try and remember something so basic. Speaking up to the woman. “A spider? Please tell me you aren not a Black Widow, hate dealing with Black Widows… I do have business to discuss with your friend, but I seem to have lost her.”
    Jin cursed his luck, he almost had a lead but now it was gone. He would have to wait out this personality for the one that he could actually get the information from. Maybe I can riddle her limbs with bullets, cripple her and take her back for interrogation. This train of thought was broken as his phone buzzed in his pocket. This better be good news.
    Pulling the phone out of his pocket Jin skimmed the message: S6 Deployed. Sweep commencing. Tracker activated. Code Blue, overwatch. Only engage for extraction. Standing orders: Assess possible occurrence of Antediluvivian, if possible subdue the threat. Open acquisition of equipment code UST5435 applied to your chip. Good luck, Agent Musashi. Briefing concluded, Overlord 4.
    The phone began to flicker on the screen as the internal memory was destroyed by a virus implanted in his standing orders. The thing was rendered untraceable but also useless. Musashi spat on the ground as he threw his phone away. So it was that serious of a threat, they gave an agent with a few known breaches of protocol open armory access. While pretending to place his phone into his jacket pocket, Jin dropped his hand to prep a VDSB. I can only prepare so much.
    “Tell me, Spider. Since I have you it would be rude to not have a nice conversation. I want to know the tale of the Spider.”
    She watched the man pull out a phone and then after reading its message he threw it away and spit on the ground. She chuckled, the shadows flickering in her mind with the soft whispers of many voices echoed in her mind. Before she was lost in thought the man looked back up at her and spoke.
    ---
    “Tell me, Spider. Since I have you it would be rude to not have a nice conversation. I want to know the tale of the Spider.”
    ---
    "Ah you seek the knowledge of this one's web? Hmm.. Well that is a tale that could be spun for a long time. One of betrayal and tragedy. I have walked the long lonely road for quite some time, and have found myself here in this city at this time. When I was lost, I was accepted by the kindred society here. My 'life' probably doesn't interest you much though I'm sure." Her grin faded as she slouched to a more relaxed pose, and began looking around, before returning her attention to the hunter.
    "
    You seek the antediluvian." She grinned again, "I'd be careful little fly. That one's web is bigger than mine."
    She reached into her jacket pocket and pulled out a pen and the other hand left out, as she looked at him in request. She was silently asking for his hand or something to write on.
    Garr was staying still, lying down with the shadows enveloping him, watching the human talk with Vanessa. He's either very brave, or very stupid, Garr thought, waiting for one of them to make a move. Usually, Garr wouldn't be hiding, but Vanessa was dangerous and he didn't want to risk exposing his back to the hunter. Even humans can be dangerous, he reminded himself.
    As he lay there, Garr's spine prickled, and his fur stood on end. Something had come near, and it wasn't normal. Testing the air for a moment, Garr made sure that whatever it was hadn't stopped near him, and then crept from his position. Making sure to stay in the shadows, Garr silently maneuvered around the buildings, finally finding a ledge he could leap to. Clenching his teeth, Garr forced the change before clambering up the fire escape, and made his way to the roof of the squat building.
    On top of the three story building, Garr shifted back and positioned himself on the ledge. Hopefully that wasn't as loud as it felt. Looking down, Garr found himself almost directly above and behind the hunter, and Vanessa further from him. He watched as the hunter opened a cell phone, and then tossed it away. How cute, Garr thought, he thinks he can fool Vanessa with that silly sleight of hand trick.
    “Tell me, Spider. Since I have you it would be rude to not have a nice conversation. I want to know the tale of the Spider.”
    "Ah you seek the knowledge of this one's web? Hmm.. Well that is a tale that could be spun for a long time. One of betrayal and tragedy," More of her Cain act? he thought, resting his head on his forepaws, I thought this would be a passing thing. She pulled a pen out, waiting for the human to give her paper. If you're smart, you won--
    Garr felt the presence again, a split second before a huge forced barreled into his back. With a snap, Garr twisted his body and clamped his jaws onto his attacker as they plummeted to the ground. It howled as bitter blood gushed from the wound, filling Garr's mouth and making him gag. Demon? he thought, just before he hit the ground and felt his right shoulder crunch into the cracked asphalt, the demon's bulk pinning him to the ground.
    Before she could write the information she was willing to part with, there was a large crashing sound. With the opportunity that would distract the hunter, now with no eyes on her she activated her Obfuscate Discipline; rendering her completely invisible - a power not unlike the Tremere used earlier... despite Tremere not having that discipline. Thinking back, the Tremere must have been an older kindred who either learned the discipline or had a similar spell through their blood magic.
    Taking the opportunity to go invisible, she made her way through the planted trees and bushes of the small park, avoiding directly walking through them that would generate noise or attracting attention of her position.
    She withdrew her silver kukri from behind her that was tucked in its sheath on her belt. She waited to see what developed before making a move. Once she engaged, her invisibility would de-cloak itself as she was not powerful enough in Obfuscate to remain invisible and interact with the world or attack..
    Jin immediately crouched down and deactivated the live High Frequency Emitter, putting it back into this jacket. Still crouched he wheeled on his heels to face the source of the crash, to find a wolf, likely the one from earlier, wrestling with a large shark like creature. Glancing to the side, Jin cursed his luck as he saw the vampire woman even in her insanity, took the time to disappear. Guess we have bigger problems, Jin was not too worried though. Since a squad was being deployed to contain, the chance of this situation getting out of hand was minimal.
    Hengeyokai, Jin thought. Recognizing the shark like shapeshifter, the Hunter’s guns were out in an instant. The Operation ADAMSKI boys are going to have a field day, Jin thought. I almost feel bad for them, almost. Drawing his M1911 and remaining crouched, Jin focused and fired a couple shots at the Same-Bito, hoping that his compound rounds could hit somewhere vital. He kept his shorter Glock in its holster, but kept his left hand up by his left shoulder. Ready to draw it if the shapeshifter got any closer to him.
    Garr's jaws spasmed open as he crashed into the ground, and he lay stunned beneath the bulk of the demon for a moment, blinking away the black spots in his vision. Shaking his head clear, Garr tried to wriggle his way out from underneath the demon, but couldn't. Finding no way to twist around, either, Garr did the next best thing. Latching onto the demon's wounded shoulder with his jaws, Garr dug his hind claws into the monster's stomach, raking the flesh from its body with all his might.
    As it reared back in pain, Garr let go of it and scrambled away from the hulking creature. As he hid behind the fountain, Garr tested his leg, but the searing pain told him it would need time to heal. Looking over the lip of the fountain, he saw that the hunter was busy unloading his clip into the demon's wounded chest. Where in the hell did a demon come from?
    As Garr watched, the creature charged the hunter. Aw hell, do I need to-- Garr's thoughts were interrupted as he heard the squeal of brakes, followed by the opening of closing of doors, and a dozen pairs of boots hitting the concrete --pl*ps.
    No way to climb, especially with an injured leg. As the stomping feet got closer and closer, Garr peeked over the edge of the fountain, gauging the distance from him to the demon, then to the empty alley behind it. Seems doable, he thought, and launched himself over the fountain.
    Stumbling as he favored his paw, Gar dashed forward and leaped straight at the demon, snapping his jaws around its throat. His momentum threw them to the ground, and Garr took the opportunity to wrench at its exposed neck. With a horrible gurgling roar, it swatted at Garr, connecting with his shoulder once again and sending him tumbling into the building they'd fallen from. His head cracked against the wall, and his vision swam. With his last thought, Garr called the shadows to him, making them cover him like a blanket, before he slipped away into unconsciousness.
    With the arrival of more humans - Presumably more hunters, she thought. Then she would have to take a different approach. The demon appears to greatly injured already from attacks from both the wolf and the hunter, and didn't think they needed her help. She retreated from the scene all the while grinning. She had a feeling that she couldn't explain, a sort of sadistic satisfaction that things were going well. Even if she did not know what those 'things' were.
    ~~~

    The hours grew late and its thirst was not yet sated. It had regained much of its former appearance, the withered flesh changing and regenerating making the creature appear more human again. It was of course.. not.. human. The creature grinned; the guards continued to fire round after round at the monster that advanced toward them. It lifted one of the humans off the ground with its mind and flung the dangling body over the balcony, where the guard fell hundreds of feet down to the rocky shore below.

    The other guards stood frozen in fear and panic, he dropped the gun and turned to run. The creature closed the distance rapidly, grabbing the man's head and sank its teeth into his throat. Robbing him of his blood, just as the others. It felt like it was getting stronger.. Just a few more nights, and it would unleash Hell upon this earth..

    A loud ring came off James's phone, awakening him from his peaceful but short sleep. He answers quickly Hello s**t now? your kidding me? I literally just got off the boat! Alright, yea I will head there now. James sighed as he turned on his '67 Impala. The street lights reflecting off his glossy black ride in rapid succession as he races through the inner city trying to find the task force he will be assisting on his mission. He was told they were on a containment mission, so urgency was a no brainer.

    This GPS is a miracle worker I tell yea. Ah great it's approaching on my left! James so proud of his handy tool of direction, as he lays his eyes on the three SUV's with hunters pouring out and running into the ally. I see things just got interesting... James thought as began brake, the tires screeching loudly. He parked with haste and grabbed his holy automatic crossbow from his truck. James running into the alleyway to see a wolf flung from the side of a demon like creature, the other hunters began to open fire and take cover from the unholy beast.

    Aim for the chest! it is weakened! one hunter yells as the demon sprints for him. James raises his crossbow and squeezes the trigger unleashing the bolts borrowing into the demons chest, causing it to stumble backward in severe pain, giving him time to grab cover in a door way. The smell of rotten and burning flesh is quickly apparent with this beast. What in god's name is going on here? James yells over the gun fire.

    Jin tried to mark where the lycan had faded from view, but the creature came upon him too quickly. Falling onto his back, Jin pulled out his second gun and began pounding compounds into the wereshark. As he heard squad six begin to deploy, he watched as crossbow bolts began to pound into the large beast. Jin hears somebody yell about God and scoffs. As the wereshark begins to shift back into human form curling up as he dies, riddled with automatic weapons fire. fluff, Jin curses as he bends down and turns over the body not recognizing the man beyond the fact he seemed to be Japanese. fluff fluff fluff fluff.

    The Agent growled and started stomping on the lip of the fountain. The vampire was gone, and he only had a general direction for a sneaky lycan, and worse of all he has some asshole with some fancy crossbow that god knows if it was actually designed for anti-supernatural combat. Pointing at two of the containment Squad, calling out: “Get the Munin ready! And for the love of God get this body some pants!”

    Of course some men were already making moves to collect the body, Jin just really needed to calm down and get some good news. Jin lets the clip of his 1911 fall out with a thud, the sudden silence broken by the falling magazine. Loading another clip of compounds, he holsters the larger handgun before checking on his compact Glock. Taking time to point at where he calculated the wolf landed, a few of the men silently made their way to search the area. If they come up with nothing, Jin swore on somebody’s life. I am going to fluffing lose it.

    “Oye, Lucky Charms!” Jin ignored the fact he was being stereotypically racist, pouncing on the man’s accent. “What the fluff you think you’re doing? Last I checked ComicCon wasn't for a few months. Whose authorization are you on?”

    The call came back that the men could not find traces of the other lycan, Jin mentally scream as he breathed deeply through his nostrils. This guy better have a good story or I am wiping his memory and sending him home to Ireland with a potato shoved up his ass.
