Hi, in Oblivion are you one who travel alone, or do you like to share your adventures with a friend(s)?

I prefer to walk around Oblivion with this group of individuals

Sir Brellin (Used to use Areldor before the Imperial guard wanted him dead on sight)

Urich

Two Mage Apprentices

Both of those brothers who you escort to Weatherleah (something like that).

Adoring Fan

DB Murderer (Warrior, the Mage is wanted dead in Imperial City as well, the Archer just gets attacked because of Friendly Fire)

My conjured dremora adds a total of 10 (including me) to our adventuring group.

I used to have Mazoga, but I completed her quest instead. We had good memories, doing Malacath's quest reminds me of when during that quest, while we were in the mines, she was the last one standing after an assault by 6-7 guards. (Leaving 3 dead).

I like how most of my followers can heal themselves and use destruction spells, Urlich is someone you can get very early on and is a fantastic follower.

Do you travel with anyone, if who?

Do modded companions count?
If so, I usually have Neeshka and Ruined-Tail. I also have a skeleton added in CM partners, but I can't remember his actual name, I changed it to "Crumbles".

They do count, I would kill for a skeleton follower, I plan on getting some mods (Just started PC Oblivion). I just wish that mages didn't cast one spell before going into melee, you wouldn't believe how many times I've seen my mage apprentices and DB Mage die. (The Defence of Bruma brings back memories.)

If you're looking for skeleton followers, they are not hard to come by.
I found a couple over on the Nexus.

And I agree, mage companions seem to forget they are mages after casting one or two spells.
I've actually seen a mage cast a healing spell then just charge in with a dagger...

Thanks for the links, yeah I feel a little pity as well. Seeing one of them charge in and just seconds later watch their corpse slowly float to the ground...whats even more sad is when I put one of my apprentices vs. my mage murderer, (courtesy of Blessing of Mania) the unarmored apprentice will kill my armored murderer almost every time...of course I think it has to do with the fact that all apprentices (and scholars) carry randomly enchanted daggers while the murderer uses a puny silver dagger.

For some reason every time I drop by the arcane university to either recruit both apprentices or to duplicate my vampire dust to sell to those vampire hunters the apprentices and scholars are always locked in battle with the Imperial Legion Battlemages there. (I think it had to do with some fun with the Skull of Corruption I had a while back.) I make great coin selling the legion armor and enchanted daggers I loot.

Update: Urich died several times (I kept reloading) during the Defence of Bruma, his Battle Axe would break after 20 seconds in and he would charge a claymore wielding daedra with just his fists (hilarious, but sad).

The Golden Saint and Dark Seducer escorts you get at the end of the SI questline are essentially knights of the nine followers. They use sword and shield and casts destruction and restoration spells (no bow though). You can have both at once, they are a pretty good team; they cleared out a Grummite burrow without me having to lift a finger.

How do you backstab a Dragon?
No one. I only just started Oblivion, but I can guarantee that there will be no companions, followers, hangers-on, pets, mounts or any other sort of 2nd, 3rd or 4th party involved.

None in Skyrim, none in any game I've every played and none in real life... Oh, wait... that's just really sad. :)

I WANT ALL THE STUFF FOR MYSELF!

I travel around Cyrodiil with a Skelton myself, named Scully, I made with the Construction Set and CM Partners. I seem to have a lot of minions and pets right now. Besides Scully. I have Tigersnap, a pet I made with the help of a battle cat mod I got off the nexus, Shadowmere, wouldn't be Oblivion without Shadowmere. For a while I had the whole DB gang, Ocheeva and Teinaava, Vincent Valtieri. They mostly hang around the Cheydinhal Sanctuary these days. So I guess I have the best of both Worlds as I have company and get to keep all my loot.
