I never really paid attention to this until it happened to me, but I have read, and can now confirm from personal experience that the 100% Resist to Disease conferred from Lycanthropy is at least partially broken. As you can see from the screenshots, I've managed to get Witbane despite being a Werewolf.

You can get diseases from creatures or traps like the bear traps. I believe I got mine from the latter as prior to this I would engage packs of bears and wolves taking many many hits and never contract any disease, but when I set off a bear trap recently while running through a dungeon I noticed a slight effect around me but didn't think anything of it at the time.

My current theory is that the resistance to disease from traps is broken. I generally make a point never to set off traps and have had a very high success rate in avoiding them so I can't really determine when this started happening with the game.

I'm a warewolf but people keep telling me I look pale an sick. How do one get rid of diseases? I did the "cure diseases" potion but didn't seem to work. And will the magic-menu appear like that with name of the disease in red if you're sick? Sorry if I'm a bit off the toppic here, but been wondering for so long.

Yes, in the Magic Menu under Active Effects a red name will appear with your disease. To be sure you have no disease go to the little Shrine behind the Crazy guy in Whiterun and activate it. All Shrines cure all diseases.

same thing happened to me once, dagmar. i'm also a werewolf and i was letting some dirty skeevers attack me to level up my heavy armor. somehow got a disease called "rattles" that affected my stamina regen. only happened that one time though. hasn't really been a problem, although i felt the same as you with the possible bugging issue with the 100% resist disease.

How do you guys feel about being a werewolf anyway? Besides the resist disease bonus (which is apparently flawed anyway) I felt that it was not particularly worth it being a werewolf. I never really used the wolf form, it was less effective than my character, and I think the well resting bonus is nice for skill grinding. Thoughts?

I don't miss the rest bonuses at all. The resistance to disease still works very well overall as this was the first time I got a disease since becoming a Werewolf. It's situational but I use it largely for RP reasons.

I had something similar. was dungeon crawling and went back to town. ran past someone and they mentioned I looked sick, didn't think about it then, afterwards went into a shop and they mentioned I looked sick too. opened the active effects menu and found I had "brain rot". Not sure what from though. I used a cure disease potion and it went away.

As for being a werewolf? I have only used it on few occassions. I was keeping it for the resist disease and for the most part it has worked. I didn't miss the rest bonus either. On my new character though I don't think I'll complete the werewolf quest. Although, being a Khajiit, I read that being in werewolf form the claw damage of being khajiit stacks with the werewolf damage... hmmm.

Was that just at the alchemist shop maybe? every time I go in there (whiteron alchemeist) she says that same thing.
