Let's kill someone!
So I had accidentally stolen something in Whiterun, long story short, ran away then went to Solitude as that's where I had to meet the guy for the main questline. I'm trying to rest so I can buy some Ebony Ingots, but it keeps saying there is an enemy nearby. I think it may be because I shouted before but the guards never said anything, so it's glitched. I keep shouting and talking to guards once I walk outside Solitude, then all of a sudden it says "Your follower is no longer with you." or something. I don't believe I hit Faendal, but he then proceeds to attempt to murder me. I kill him of course, but I'm a bit confused. Anyone have any insight on this?

Ok so it said "Your follower has left you." I think. I have went back to my nearest save that didn't mean losing a bunch of work, and everytime I talk to Faendal, he attacks me. Did he like witness me steal? Sometimes when I'm in someone's house when I'm not supposed to be, he acts like it's his home and says "You aren't supposed to be here." and nothing else. Did I tick him off in Whiterun even though that shouldn't be possible?

not sure I follow you questions, however, if your follower is a goodperson my nature, they will leave you if you keep doing bad things.

When I have a follower with me and I break into a place, and I get that line "you're not supposed to be in here" if I talk to them or face them, I immediately step back outside, tell them to wait and go back inside and do what I was going to do. The go back out and have them follow.

One thing you could try also with the save where you tried to talk to Faendal and he attacks, sheath you weapon. If it's not sheathed, unsheath it and resheath it. Then, theoretically, they will stop attacking. After that, leave the town for a day or two and come back. see if anything changes. Make sure your weapon isn't drawn too.
