I just tried tweeting the site twice and it has not gone up on the twitter counter.
The module I am referring to is on the main page in the right panel.

EDIT: Don't worry, takes around 10 minutes to confirm. Works good.

Which brings me to another suggestion, locking our own threads? I think we should be able to once a thread has been resolved such as this one.

That could actually be a really good idea. Or maybe making it so they go to an archive which we can't see.

It will be easier if you just requested the thread to be locked to a moderator or admin. The forum software currently doesn't have the option for users to do this.
