The name of a secret group

Hello everyone,

What is the name of the self-proclaimed secret group in Skyrim that has magic abilities and is able to stop time. They contact you in some sort of apparition. If I recall correctly, they wear white robes, they're kinda like watchers of the universe and only contact you because the world is in trouble. I want to say that the name of the group is similar to Djiin or something like that.

Any help would be very much appreciated, thank you.

I really would like the next game to have an expanded storyline for them. They are clearly more powerful than both the Thalmor and the Winterhold mages.
