It's old news. They announced it in June at the official site.

I know it's on consoles, just not that Sony was the cause!

No game is made available for the Playstation platform without Sony's involvement.

Sony basically pushed them into doing it. Initially they didn't have any plans for a console version of the game.

I'd missed that article (obviously). I do wish it was more informative as the causes behind the transaction and the transaction itself, and I'm still dubious that Sony was telling the truth, it does explain some of the events that've gone down.
