Something I've wondered about OblIVion's beginning

Is it possible to actually kill Emperor Uriel Septim during the segment where you are escaping via the Imperial Sewers (a good place would be that room where the Mythic Dawn agent strikes from - no guards are present and you are free to throw fireballs at Uriel.)

Also, if it is possible, then what sort of changes happen to the game? For example, would that M.D. agent show up and recruit you instead of attacking you?

Hes an essential character, so no.

I've never tried it, though I doubt it is possible.
He is most likely set as essential until the assassin decides to shank him in the back.

Why would you want to? You're level 1 and the Blades would slaughter you?

What kind of creep are you playing? He's the emperor for goodness sake!

I thought since Emperor Uriel Septim is a required character (right up to where he gets slaughtered), that made him a character not capable of being killed (except by the Mythic Dawn agent.)
