I heard from one of my friends over facebook, he was talking about his house in Windhelm...

One day he went home to sleep... he went to sleep, and woke up with one of the armor mannequins, staring over him as he woke up.

Now... I was skeptical at first... but then he told me something that made me wonder.

Apparently, you can train your skills on these dummies... which means (or may imply) that the mannequins are actually programmed NPCs... and that his may have glitched and 'came to life'

Anyone else hearing anything about this?

This is for custom titles?
Never took a sleep in my Windhelm house but the mannequins are ones to glitch out. Maybe the code got jumbled in with a housecarl or something. Odd indeed.

That's a very interesting thought, Neo.

Mannequin: (Sigh) "I am sworrrnn to carry your burdens..." >___>

I finally picked up an extra house (Solitude) and am excited to set the mannequins up. Would be an awesome mod to be able to purchase and place as many of these as you like... would love to display various armor all over the place. I think Solitude has 2... is there a house with more than that?

i just bought the Riften house couple days ago. Never slept in it yet but left to run some quests. When i came back a little later, i found that one mannequin moved off his stand to the center of the room and the other disappeared completely

LMAO.

I ended up killing Lydia because of that. I collected items all the time so through hours of playtime I just kept getting "I am sworn to carry your burrrr-dens"... "I am sworn to - ..." *FUS-RO-DAH*

That's what I do with them now. Lydia died on me when she got between me and a bandit or something and died horribly by accident... yeah that's it... and then I started having Uleth(?) following me. Doesn't say much except when I need to get to their inventory and when I step on their toes in the doorways.
