It's been confirmed that you can't have shield in both hands... I think they said shield is restricted to one of the hand. Maybe not. It would be hilarious to go confused turtle but that's just silly.

Lol, found this after I had replied in the thread about dual wielding. I guess I am not the only one to come up goofy ideas. To be frank, I would like to see player able to dual wield anything, from forks to house poles.
