If you use the Shield of Ysgramor, it stacks with the Elemental Protection. That would allow any character to have 70% Fire/Frost/Shock Resistance, however Nords will reach the cap for Frost Resistance because of their 50% Frost Resistance. If you complete the Agent of Love quest(Temple Quest in Riften), you get an added 15% Magic Resistance. Since this stacks with the Shield of Ysgramor and the Elemental Protection, your warrior will be able to laugh at the face of any magic casting enemy.
