skyrim stuck in dark theme

I have not modded skyrim, but its been stuck in dark theme since
I changed my laptop theme from Windows 7 basic to High Contrast Black.

It has somehow affected the game to where its only possible to see
whats happening in the game by using candlelight and magelight constantly.

The whole game is almost completely dark, even day time.

Changing back to windows 7 basic theme does not fix the problem.

Have you reset the graphics by chance?

Yes, but only after the graphics went strange. That did not help either.

I have played Skyrim until level 60 without any graphics problems.
The problem only appeared when I changed from Windows 7 Basic theme
to High Contrast Black theme.

It has somehow affected all my games, which now appear to also be in
High Contrast Black theme, which makes it difficult to see anything in-game.

problem solved..
solution: messed around with the min max settings in display control panel.
