I'm replaying Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl with the 2009 Complete Mod (very easy to install). And I have to say it's one of my favorite games! The atmosphere is so immersive. Many of the locations are modeled after real life places in Ukraine, definitely has the Eastern European feel. It's basically an FPS with some RPG and survival horror elements. Some places are very creepy. I recommend it highly, although there are no games I can think to compare it to, maybe Metro games, but Stalker is more of an open world (with restrictions).
