Returning after hiatus, question about light armors.

I stopped playing Skyrim shortly before the DLC content started to arrive. I've recently come back to the game and will be playing a Light Armored character.

However, the last I recall, I wasn't a big fan of the higher quality light armors. In fact, I had stretched the guild armors (nightingale and assassin) pretty far simply for vanity reasons. Personally I thought Dragonscale was just hideous to look at. So I was just wondering if the DLC expansions provides any new light armors that may appeal to me.

I don't know what your taste is so I think I'll just list all the possibilities. Full sets you can craft include Stalhrim http://www.therpf.com/attachments/f...deathbrand_armor_-_both.png-207571d1373700836 and Chitin http://img1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20130214014532/elderscrolls/images/f/f8/Chitin_Armor_-_Both.png armor, both of which require Dragonborn. You need the ebony smithing perk for stahlrim and the elven smithin perk for chitin. Both have a heavy armor craftable variant. As for sets you can't craft, there's the vampire and royal vampire armor http://api.ning.com/files/Y7XrEGzfa...UuSKZ5RQgM0mryx1qWBvhGw/VampireRoyalArmor.jpg, though neither of them comes with headgear and the royal vampire armor always has an enchantment. There's also the Dawnguard light armor http://img4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20121001004800/elderscrolls/images/e/e6/Durak_03.png, which like the vampire armor requires the advanced armors smithing perk and come with the Dawnguard dlc. Lastly Dawnguard also gives you Ancient Falmer armor http://img2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20120806200009/elderscrolls/images/6/6e/Arch-CurateVrythur.png which is improved via elven smithing while Dragonborn potentially gives you access to the Blackguard Armor http://img2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20130524015242/elderscrolls/images/7/74/Linwe.png which isn't affected by any smithing perks.

Pretty good (if weird) synopsis right there.

I'm a big fan of the Dawnguard and Blackguard stuff if you're going for something a little understated.

My light armored characters usually wear DG light armor with leather or elven boots and gauntlets, and a guards helmet. I like the DG helmets, but can't enchant them so I don't bother. That can be fixed, of course, on pc but I was on console then.

Light armour is pretty ugly, but I think dragonscale looks okay. It looked decent on an argonian at least, which was the last character I had that wore it
