PC Repairing the White Phial

I am having trouble with the quest "Repairing the Phial". I got all the stuff I need to fix the White Phial but when I go to give them to Quintus I don't have the option to give the stuff to him, I just have the option to ask what he has for sale and asking him to tell me about the items.

Any help would be appreciated

Hmm.. I just did this and didn't have any issues. Have you gone through all of the available dialog? Or try waiting a day..? I'm just think "out loud" per se, as I'm sure you've done those things already. Confounding indeed.

Have you looked through the quest's UESP article, namely the Bugs section? One of the bugs appears to be identical to your problem.

I have had issues with this quest before and was able to fix them with console commands. Try using setstage.

Side note: If you haven't already passed the point of no return, you might wish to dump any briarhearts you're carrying. This quest seems to like to make you carry them forever.

I completed the quest. It turns out that for some reason I didn't have a briarheart in my inventory.
