Jurgarik Greycloak

Techno master of Tamriel.
It is hard for me to decide on a favorite for these categories. It all depends on the character. Some may be knightly characters and end up with steel plate and possibly steel swords/greatswords, while others are more sinister and end up with dark brotherhood gear and daggers. who knows.

As with Jurgarik, it's tough for me to pick one favourite, as it depends what I'm doing! So I'll try it according to my current characters' favourites:

  • Freyja, the Nord vampiric assassin
Armour:
  • Nightingale Armour - Prior to accidentally becoming infected with vampirism, Freyja - though a thief - was lighthearted and jovial, and she found the Nightingale armour to be too dark and dingy for her tastes, and never wore it. After being infected with vampirism, her jovial nature slowly disappeared as her new, darker impulses began to assert themselves. She abandoned the Thieves Guild altogether, and went searching for the Dark Brotherhood, thinking they could help them to sate her appetites. She started wearing the Nightingale armour, even after receiving a set of Shrouded Armour. The style of the armour both intimidated people when they could see her, and kept her vampiric identify a secret better. It also kept the sun off her skin when she was outside during daylight. And its dark nature helped to obscure her when she was skulking about in the shadows.

Weapons:
  • Elven sword - Her primary fencing sword was passed down to her from her parents. She appreciated its ornate nature and solid construction, and even continued to use it after vampirism set in. She felt it kept her grounded to her past, so that she didn't lose herself completely.
  • Mehrunes Razor - After leaving the Thieves Guild, but before joining the Dark Brotherhood, Freyja went in search of somewhere that she felt she could belong, and at one point she sought refuge with the Daedric Princes, including Mehrunes Dagon. The dagger she received for her efforts perfectly suited her preferred fighting style - slitting throats from behind - and she discarded her old glass dagger immediately.
  • Daedric bow - She had no special attachment to this bow. She previously used an elven bow, purely because of their reputation as being the best bows in Tamriel, but on discovering this daedric bow in a ruin, she found it to be superior in every way. The dark energies that pulsed throughout its construction resonated with her new nature, and she kept it.
  • Andraste, the Imperial ex-Legionnaire warrior
Armour:
  • Steel armour (with pauldrons) - After leaving the Legion (because of the death of her lover and fellow soldier), Andraste discarded her Imperial armour and used her own considerable smithing skills to manufacture a new set of steel armour when she travelled to Skryim to visit the grave of her fallen comrade. It has since proven hardy and reliable, and she's found no reason to discard it.
Weapons:
  • Dragonbone greatsword - She replaced her normal steel greatsword with this beautiful weapon after defeating Alduin, and wields it as a badge of her impressive accomplishments since arriving in the frozen northlands. It is sharp enough to cut plate steel, durable enough to parry Daedric weapons, and superbly balanced. Though she is a skilled warrior with both one and two-handed fighting styles, she overwhelmingly prefers using two-handed weapons, finding them to be more graceful, versatile, and skillful.
  • Dragonbone sword - Again, this replaced the steel sword she used to carry. She always keeps a normal sword sheathed and ready to go as a sidearm, in the event that she loses her main weapon, or if fighting in close quarters. She also carries it on her waist during downtime at home in the city of Solitude, as a dress doesn't really allow for a greatsword to be holstered comfortably.
  • Imperial bow - This is the same bow her deceased lover carried during their service. She is a decent markswoman, and while there are better bows, she holds on to it for sentimental reasons. She has since used her smithing abilities to refine the bow into a more powerful weapon, however, easily able to keep up with elven or glass equivalents.

  • Cass, the Imperial nomadic hunter
Armour:
  • Forsworn armour - Cass rarely visits civilisation, spending her days exploring the wilds and hunting for food. Her 'armour', such as it is, was self-made from materials she'd found lying around on her travels, and is superficially similar to that in use by the Forsworn in the Reach - it may even have been inspired by it, as she's had run-ins with them before when hunting in that region. She designed it to allow for ease of movement, stealth, and comfort. As she rarely finds reason to visit the colder northern regions, where game is less plentiful, it suits her needs just fine.
Weapons:
  • Ancient Nord Bow - It's actually meant to represent a haphazardly-made bow that Cass put together herself out of animal sinew and wood, using techniques taught to her by her mother. Despite its scruffy appearance, Cass' bow is remarkably potent, with a range and power that matches more 'professionally made' bows, and it serves as her primary weapon. It's taken down more deer and wolves than most people have had hot dinners, and it's equally good at putting down bandits who happen to be blocking her path. Cass is not particularly... 'civilised'... when it comes to her meal choices, either, and she isn't adverse to hunting bandits the same way she would hunt any other kind of game. It works just as well on them, too.
  • Orcish sword - Though she rarely visits civilisation, Cass is on good terms with most of the Orcish tribes that inhabit Skryim, as her mother was, as she appreciates their simple way of life as being similar to her own. When necessary she will trade with them rather than with the so-called 'civilised' people in cities, she has helped their hunters when they've been in trouble, and they trusted her enough to provide her with a sword of Orcish make. It's the only gift she's ever received, and treasures it accordingly. While Cass is an expert and stealthy hunter - her prey rarely noticing that she's there until it's too late - sometimes Kynareth's breath betrays her and a bow is no longer suitable for self-defence. She's no slouch as a fencer, either.
  • Iron dagger - A simple iron dagger, passed down to her mother, whom in turn received it from her grandmother, Cass' dagger is one of her most valuable tools. It helps her to skin and prepare the meat of her slain prey, and it's pretty good at slicing the necks of live prey too...
