hey guys just asking....

is there a upgrade for firing further archery because it depends on what bow I have to make the arrow really spitfire out there..

when I aim lower I get a straight shot when I aim higher I get a flush shot when I aim really really low I get a low shot and flush shot meaning I miss the target in my own words a arrow flush it just goes all over the place and can someone give me advice on the target pratice because a high flush shot gets enemies miles away just need to trace the arrow drop, please give me some more advice on archery.thanks

I'm wondering this too. I've also found that using the slow time while aiming perk is causing my arrows to fly right of central aim while sneaking.

it's kind of like kentucky windage thing too; you got to let the arrow fly a just before your target enters the cross hairs. for me personally, i like to croutch, and that seem to also help with centering on target. but, a moving target is always harder to hit than the stationary target.

also, i got a legendary ebony bow, with ebony arrows, so it's not a big deal any more; unless i change difficulty to master level, usually two shots at most for most targets.

For moving targets, it's best to "lead", aiming about one foot in-game in front of them. Stationary-wise, aim for the head, upper torso.

If you can find Angi's camp, she's a special archer trainer and she has targets and practice arrows at her homestead. She also raises your archery skill if you do her challenges (which I would recommend after you've exhausted all the other trainers) but you should still be able to use the targets. You can sit there and work on your aiming over various distances there which may help you smooth out your shooting motion. You can go to the uesp wiki and search for angi and it will give you more precise info if you want spoilers.

right, you have to remember this game has great realistic elements to it, such as how archery works. You have to give a hang to your long shots, and lead moving targets, close shots are pretty much shot where you want to hit. Normally on most humanoid enemies I aim at their head or even a smidge higher and that will usually hit center mass for a kill shot. Use targets for experimenting to find out the best like was also suggested.

Hmm... I've never met Angi... I'm going to have to go find her and say hello. Wow, something new to play with... haha

I've recently added the zoom perk, but wow don't it hurt stamina! Question: does the next upgrade on that branch, 'slow time zoom', erase that debilitating add-on?

nope, the stamina always is a factor, basically you are holding your breath and *zoning in* so it takes stamina to use it. I would up your stamina anyways as it increases your loot capacity. :D

I have also noticed that shooting with the Hunting Bow it shoots horizontally (the bow orientation) and I have to aim higher to get the shot to land correctly.

I would like to see the archery have one small improvement... If you shoot someone the location of your shot should cause damage relative to the injury. Shoot someone in the knee (forgive me) and they should just hobble, but a heart shot should be one shot kill.

LoL yeah that would be neat to see.

if you are crouched (sneak mode) all the bows go horizontal, but I haven't noticed having to aim higher with any of them. I guess I'll have to pay attention more.

Aha! Never made the connection between sneaking and bow orientation. (Quick one I am!)

Yeah, but it would also be a two way street think of a bandit shooting you in the face or heart. One shot, and boom that's it for you even if you get all maxed out on kick ass armor and what not.
