Missing NPCs

Not sure if anyone else has experienced this, but Winterhold and the College of Winterhold are much more barren then usual. Almost all of the master trainer mages in the college and Birna from Birna's Oddments are nowhere to be found, and I have looked everywhere. This may have been caused by the College of Winterhold questline, but I am well past finishing it. I'm just wondering if this is a bug or somehow they all inexplicably died (last time I checked, they were all alive and well preceding the Eye of Magnus quest). I'm not sure what to do, as I really need to get training for some of the schools of magic I don't use as well as getting the master spells. Suggestions/advice?

I've never had that happen. It's possible a dragon attack may have hit, but I don't think those NPCs can die. This may seem a silly thing to ask ,and no offense meant, but have you checked both of the barracks at the College - the newbie ones where you start and the 'master mages' one, accessible from the same courtyard?

Boy do I feel stupid! I completely forgot about the master mages living quarters, I thought they were in the Hall of Attainment (second floor above the trainees). I'm not sure about Birna though, unfortunatly you may be right and she was killed during a dragon attack or something. Thanks for the help!

Birna might be perma-dead. I've killed the vast majority of whiterun do to a misunderstanding involving a shout and a child, I had to reload from the store entrance.

I know that the character that you first have to talk to that gives you quest during the Eye of Magus, forget her name... Miralla?.. anyways, she dies during the battle at winterhold. same with the arch-mage.
The rest I swear are hiding from me, but if you time it right, they almost all show up in the training hall area (where the Eye used to be).

Definitely check out the barracks though.

I know this an old discussion; however, I am missing several NPCs since I began the Dawnguard quest line. Both NPCs from Warmaidens are missing and now, the fella from the Pawned Prawn. There was a scuffle with some vampires outside Warmaidens and Adrianne is now an ash pile on the steps. Her guy was there for a few weeks...Now, he is completely gone. Anyone else??

Babu420 - I'm not sure what kind of help you're requesting but any NPC that's not coded with an essential tag can die and that includes most traders. If you're on a PC you can either resurrect them or spawn a clone to take their place by using console commands. There's nothing you can do on a game console other than reload a prior save where they are still alive and play through from there.

Thanks...I was really curious if anyone else had this happen and if I can expect more to disappear. I am playing on the 360 and have just accepted that I can't use those shops anymore. Appreciate your input, tho. Thanks again
