For the first time in 12 long years, the popular Might & Magic franchise is back in action with a significant sequel, “Might & Magic X: Legacy” – and the first since international video game company Ubisoft took over the reins of the series – only with a different twist of a first person view.

You are put in charge of a party of four – specifically, a Defender, a Druid, a Freemage and a Rune Priest - as you embark on your tour of the land of Ashan where you will try to determine the fate of the ancient city of Karthal and use interactive objects in the environment, engage in various battles along the way [including with giant spiders, naturally – because everybody likes tussling with giant spiders].

Through the typical turn-based gameplay system of yesteryear, you will move throughout the Agyn Peninsula creating or customizing your characters [with a choice of four races, seven classes, 12 magic schools and multiple melee weaponry]. But beware! Your enemies most likely possess powers or capabilities of which you are unaware and they are waiting to spring upon you at the last desperate minute.

“Might & Magic X: Legacy” costs $24.99, runs via Steam, requires a 64-bit operating system with 6GB of RAM or more. Buy and download MMXL here.
